Chas is an actor. As much as I loved his role as Lucas I respect him for leaving. This is his living you know, what he makes money out of, and if the CW wants to save money by paying their best actor less money then hey... sucks for them. Chas shouldn't stay if he's underpayed, that's just wrong.

I wish there was a way to show you on here, but there isn't. It is the last e-mail I have received from the CW. There is no amendment to the schedule. Maybe the episodes will be added to the Season 8 DVD, but it's not on the CW this fall.

I dont know what Chad is like in real life, I think it was a mix of him wanting more than than could give & them not wanting to deal with it. What probably happened is that he asked for more money and they said no (the ratings aren't as high as they used to be so they probably couldn't afford it) so he quit. So, his saying they didn't want him back just means they couldn't afford to give him a raise.

I usually love Chad but he's really stupid in saying this on camera. Plus this makes him look like such a prick. It also makes people assume that Hilarie Burton couldn't come back because he decided to leave, and they couldn't have Peyton in the show without Lucas. Which makes him even more of a prick if that's true as Hilarie actually really WANTED to stay on the show forever, as she said previously in several interviews.

I'm a big fan of OTH, I've been watching since season 1. I love everything about it. But why is he telling fans that he wants to go back but "they" won't pay him more. If you want back then go back. The other actors didn't demand more money. Or cause any unneeded drama off the camera. Do i like the show better now? No not really I do miss Peyton and sometimes Lucas. But not missing Chad.

One Tree Hill basically focuses on the relationship between two brothers, well at least it used to. What's the point if one of them isn't in it? Chad and Hilarie actually basically made that show, and although James Lafferty is hot, he's no Chad Michael Murray! Ahaaaa.

i stopped watching One Tree Hill, because without chad or hilary i see no point to the show. I still lovee the old cast but i think the new ones aren't as good.

i agree with Allee There is no OTH with out them both. What probably happened is that he asked for more money and they said no (the ratings aren't as high as they used to be so they probably couldn't afford it) so he quit. So, his saying they didn't want him back just means they couldn't afford to give him a raise.
He's a jerk anyway. I LOVED his character on One Tree Hill, and it would be better if he and Hilarie were still on, but I don't think it's the shows fault if they couldn't pay him more.

I usually love Chad but he's really stupid in saying this on camera. Plus this makes him look like such a prick. It also makes people assume that Hilarie Burton couldn't come back because he decided to leave, and they couldn't have Peyton in the show without Lucas. Which makes him even more of a prick if that's true as Hilarie actually really WANTED to stay on the show forever, as she said previously in several interviews.
So yeah. Chad's a moron.

Did I hear right - he said they never even called him? I find that so hard to believe, I read he wanted more money and didn't sign his contract. I think it's highly unlikely he will return for the final ever episode in season 8 which I think is a real shame for the show. I still watch despite him not being there and I think season 7 has been a good one. But I think it sucks when actors forget about the shows that made them who they are!!!

I'm a big fan of OTH, I've been watching since season 1. I love everything about it. But why is he telling fans that he wants to go back but "they" won't pay him more. If you want back then go back. The other actors didn't demand more money. Or cause any unneeded drama off the camera. Do i like the show better now? No not really I do miss Peyton and sometimes Lucas. But not missing Chad.

One Tree Hill basically focuses on the relationship between two brothers, well at least it used to. What's the point if one of them isn't in it? Chad and Hilarie actually basically made that show, and although James Lafferty is hot, he's no Chad Michael Murray! Ahaaaa.

I actually think season 6 was the worst season it was way 2 soppy like he was just giving the viewers what they wanted! Chad might have been pissed over here but that was real out of line! I do miss his character because he was such an amasing person and especially lately when haleys mum died I really think he should have been their. what we have to face is that OTH will never be the same its like life it changes! and season 7 if u just give it a chance! let mark work his magic
