Actually it's closer to 38%. It only reaches 50% when you only count terrestrial television. Why does he deserve to automatically get the number 1 spot? For winning a reality show? He'll be a flash in the pan until next years show when you're looking for his replacement. Out of all the reality music shows Cowell has done you rarely hear of any of the winners. X factor is a disgrace and targets people to exploit them and make money. Fame culture in the UK lets young people believe fame = happiness that you can have everything for nothing. Some have good voices but hardly musicians or artists!
I think these shows are vulgar and its all about money for the presenters. We should have shows showing courage, creativity, strength and intelligence. The dream to be a manufactured pop star is the most boring thing ever these days....I think its PATHETIC.
