Regarding covering "non-Christian" music: Jesus said that even earthly fathers, BEING EVIL, give their children good things... to discount every artistic endevour that doesn't proceed from Christians is to discount the expansive nature of Jesus Christ, without whom no good thing can exist, regardless of its source. Cannot God's "Common Grace" as noted by Calvin extend to the Beatles?

How about the past 30 years of unwavering commitment to Christian music and our Lord that Phil has shown....that just counts for nothing right? Awesome post! There is nobody like Phil Keaggy. He is a master musician, one of the bests guitarists out there and sings like an angel.He has been a big inspiration to me since I was 10 and used to come over my house and play guitar for me. As an adult I had the privilege of playing guitar with him and Glass Harp on Strings Attached CD. This was a high honor for me. As a human being and msucian he is a class act all the way full of love, joy and smiles.

I'll leave it at that because I don't go to you tube to be a judge or criticize someone's playing I come to enjoy and learn. This is a classic song done by a gifted artist, was Paul serving two masters in Acts 17:28 when he talks about " some of your own poets "......see Paul addressed the culture with what they were reading. We have greater impact on society by relating to people where they are....with wisdom of course. One of the highlights of Phils career was jamming with Paul at Paul's sisters wedding......exerpts taken from Daily Bread Devo 11/10/11.

I was listening to Phil before he gained so much popularity. I had heard that he had been a friend of Paul McCartney. His style reminds me of Paul. I am glad to hear a rendition of this song by one who knows the SON. "If you have seen me you have seen the Father"

Keaggy uses a guitar pedal called the Jam Man. It creates loops & layers. With it he can start a part, lock it in, then while it loops he can add leads or whatever to it. Using it he is able to do even more with his great playing, and become a one-man-band.
