Dead right, McCartney wrote some of the best rock bass lines of all time! This one goes along with "Rain", "Strawberry Fields Forever", "Paperback Writer", "Nowhere Man", "Drive My Car", "Taxman", "And Your Bird Can Sing", "You Won't See Me", "Think For Yourself", "You Can't Do That" and "I've Got A Feeling" as possibly his best work. Damn it, he did too many good ones though!! :)

Jack Bruce said there only four geniuses in the history of bass guitar: himself (Jack knows his worth!), James Jamerson, Jaco Pastorius and McCartney. I agree. Thers are other great players, but these men created hugely influential styles.

I first played this bass line 40 years ago next christmas. It still is my warming up choice. Quite tricky but you've done it oh sooooo well. If I close my eyes I'll believe its Paul playing. What a great bass player youare. Nailed to perfection.
