newtonn i have a infocus litepro 570 and was thinking of updating the current unit. it is a big projector but the current lcd panel while watching action videos gets kind of jittery almost as if the lcd cannot keep up. i would like to update the lcd but not sure if anything else would have to be updated either. it uses a 8.4" lcd panel in the unit. it does produce a nice image with its current lamp they last 50 hours and are 4 bucks each. how can i do this?
hi I am making one of these at the moment and nearly finished I just have to put in an extra light or two because I'm not happy with the brightness but I have a few questions for you.
On your projector are you able to see the individual pixels ? I have my one projecting at about 70" And I can see the pixels.
And on to the condenser lens I bought a very small 28mm one and when i put it in the image was very bright in the centre but very very dim elsewhere,would a bigger condenser lens be better
will it work with any of those 3,5 inch screens for in the car you can buy on ebay? (i mean there could be some wires preventing you from getting the light through the lcd)
nice design, can anyone tell me where I can get a 7"-10" HD lcd that will work ? cause I waisted alot of time and money buying them and incounter a wire Ribbons in the way of the light source problems and the ribbons are too short to bend it out of the way, I also have this issue with some 15" & 17" also, a problems like this will set you back when you're Broke!, know what I mean?
@Drunksinger1 why not look up the manufacturer of the ribbon cable and get some more,be sure to count the conductors so there is no mistakes.google "ribbon cable" and its should show you your per foot price. its cheap stuff.
I've seen the ones made from old 15'' lcd etc and 300 halide bulbs, whats you idea on a 15'' lcd with led lighting? or maybe larger lcd, to get full hd
It will be difficult to get the same brightness if you using a bigger screen. Maybe if you use a 100w led, but they are expensive yet. In any case the bigger the screen is the less light efficiency you get from the LED. I never try the 100w LED, mini is a 30w an is rated 1.800 Lumens, the 100w is rated 7000 lumens, so it may do the job.
@tomyloveu those 100 watt led''s can go up to 9000lumen ,only thing is they are HOT and can burn a whole through 1/4 plastic, and they have made a 7000 lumen projector.google it.
I used a 3.5" 640x480 LCD, I got the 30W LED from ebay and I didn't buy a driver, sorte of make one. I'm making a detail Instructable soon I'll be ready.
@Armookie you and me both,but im more interested in seeing if i can retrofit a bum HD projector with this type of LED,that is if i can trick the light sensing curcuit into thinking the light is its own "factory" light without having to mess with the ballast.not sure if the ballast is micro-controller/microprocessor governed. as in POST checks.
It looks soo much better than the tv I have right now!!!...

are u sure 100w give you 7000lumens? you mean more then avg lamp which give 3000 lumens? if thats so why no one made it one yet
