@80sCommercialVault is the one with the shifty eyes marykate coz i heard people accused her of killing her boyfriend and they where amazing on full house and i love their movies
OMG! Dave Thomas! I love him!!!! I remember always wanting to go to Wendy's just so I could meet him. I never did :( but I will always remember how awesome he was!
I had that Magnavox Explorer when I was a teenager - I got in 1991, when I was 14. In fact, I still have it in storage, and I have the floppies that I used to store the word processing files I composed on it. :)
@WumWip it changed sizes and expanded menu choices recently. the biggie size was dropped from the menu probably due to obesity and to encourage people to think healthy. personally i call bs b/c the chain bought arby's in 2008
@RevolutionOfCG The Sinclair computers may have been short-lived in the US, but they were very popular in many parts of western Europe during the 1980s. Plus, some, like the Spectrum, were just great, even with the "dead-flesh" keyboard.
Luvs Diapers: "Should I have changed you before you fell asleep? Nah, these pink things don't seem to leak" Good campaign for baby hygiene. Don't change them until the diaper overflows!
There's a Chuck E. Cheese around 30 miles from where I live but I don't think we ever went there. I've never seen a Showbiz Pizza in the state of California.
@RevolutionOfCG we had showbiz in the early 80's we got chuck e cheese in the mid 90's. i never saw a showbiz commercial but i sure see a lot of chuck e cheese commercials. i perfer showbiz over chuck e cheese any day when it comes to the entertainment because i have never played showbiz games.
I agree with you on those "Little Lost and Found" toys. I mean, you get a critter that looks absolutely miserable no matter what you do for it. We're having some fun now!!
I like the lUvs Deluxe diaper commercial. Does anyone have the one where the boy says at the end "I like that diaper?" Who is the woman in that diaper commercial? If you have any more let me know please.
oh goddddd shredded wheat always looked so good in the commercials and when i got suckered into buying it, i was painfully disappointed! it was horrible! lol
In addition to those two Nabisco Shredded Wheat commercials from the '80s, there's another crazy one where everybody falls through the floor after finding out their cereals have salt, fat, sugar, etc. in them. Only the Shredded Wheat guy remains... lol
I recognized EVERYONE of these commercials. Total memories of my childhood. I never thought twenty years later I'd actually enjoy watching these commercials lolol. They aired on KHJ Los Angeles 9, and WPIX New York 11.
I miss him too, because the franchise has been in a spiral since his death. Look at the size of that "jr" bacon cheese! It's not even close to that size now, but I guess they can't sell a 1/4 lb burger for $.99 anymore.
Yeah ienjoyhoagies that was King Kong Bundy on the explorer commercial. It looks like he was playing either an alien or a man from the future. We are now in 2009, just six years away from 2015, and we are not even close to what Back To The Future pictured we would be.
why is it that in canada everything thats made my nabisco in the us is called 'christie' their logo is in the same spot and is almost identical, but ive never understood why. whats up with it?
And those Nabisco Shredded Wheat cereals, this was before Nabisco was bought out by Post cereals, Post is best known for Grape Nuts, Pebbles cereals, Sugar Crisps and a few others. They don't it Nabisco Shredded Wheat anymore, now it's Post Shredded Wheat. No question about it!
u dont remember that show with Richard Lewis? I do..the only reason why really is i remember he would always grab his head and talk and he had long black hair..LOL
there was a mental hospital called Charter Grove by where we lived and we'd sing "I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Charter Grove kid, where they put me in a cushioned room because I flipped my lid!" to the Toys R Us jingle..
when I was little the only thing that I thought every time I saw that Nabisco Shredded Wheat commercial: was how the hell did all the things what were upside down didn't felt on the other guy's head.
Thanks a lot for these awesome ads. I missed those from the 80's including promos like "Full House" and "Family Matters" which was usually shown on ABC as part of TGIF as shown on KGO-TV out in San Francisco, WABC-TV (channel 7) in my area used to run the same thing along with the promos and stuff.
I love the Crest ad where they had the "Bambi" VHS promotion. I still my 1989 first VHS print of "Bambi" in my collection, but I have it on DVD.
