When I tried to erase the content data on a JB 3gs iphone, it became unresponsive and I had to restore to 4.1 using a different computer.

if you jailbreak....and the battery wears down or you turn it off the jailbreak will disappear. Its really easy to re-jailbreak it all you hav to do is open blackrain and click a button that is IT. really easy thing to do. You will be able to use it as an ipod if you turn it on and off, the jailbreak is the only thing that is affected. If i was you? i would defo jailbreak its so GREAT!!!!:)
