they are so not the same ! these authors didn't creat vampires...that's the similarity. i think anne rice made the vampire into a more modern being and ppl took that idea and created their own stories. if she wasn't the first to do so herself. but i am a big TB fan...and i hate Twilight. there are big differences other than the fact that it has to do with vampires. and love.

I know that they have big differences too, but the story is almost the same! A human girl falls in love with a vampire, forbidden love and all that. And both TB-Sookie and Twilight-Edward can read everyones minds, except their boy/girlfriends - Bill and Bella.

And thats just some of the similarities! But as i said, there is differences too. (:

yeah someone mentioned the mind reading thing to me too. im not a huge twilight fan so i didn't notice that but... i think true blood characters are very unique and very...colorful with their story arcs catapolting you into so many directions. twilight to me ...seems a bit more traditional. TB is just more raw and in your face. i love vampires but twilight is the first vampire story i cant get into. the similarities to me are very minimal. you can the same idea and creat totally different tales

The music he listened to, he referred to as "It's old Swedish, it really is quite beautiful if you understand it." ...I couldn't understand it though x)

Never having read the books I was pissed to find out Rene is the killer 'cuz I really like him. It looks like a million things are going to happen. I sure hope Lafayette lives through it. The show also has tried to deflect us from Rene but as those who have read the novels know... well Terry is a good prospect to be different but maryanne was somoene else entirely in the books namely the maenid Castillo, Maryann Forester appears to be blend of 2 characters from the books, Sookies fairy god mother mixed with the maenid. The show has tried to deflect us away from Rene, Terry and Hoyt which from writer perspective all have qualities which could make them villains.
