  • This was very beautiful. I never heard this song and or the history, until I took a college music class. It's too bad the rest of society is injected with liberal atheist propaganda to even acknowledge religion, history, and or art at the public education level. Kids know who and what "fitie cent" sings about, but would they be taught this?

  • A very inspiring person. One of the most intruiging medieval minds. A heroine, in my book.

  • Thank you very much for the upload!

  • Divna muzika!

  • simplemente sublime, una de las formas de tener contacto con Dios, sobre todo para quién canta

  • Thanks for uploading this. I hate switching CDs for my music appreciation class.

  • @mccamy312 seriously!! i go to cal poly slo, and i couldnt play any of the uploads my professor had on the website.

  • As an atheist/agnostic, I still appreciate this music and can listen to it for hours. There is so much beautiful music and religious art, sculpture, writings, that its a shame some of its adherents cant live up to its tenants. Religious expression in these forms is truly amazing and as a secularist, I'm kind of jealous.

  • As a Catholic I believe that all the meticulously designed beauty so evident in art, music and even nature have their origins in a God who is infinite beauty Himself. Yes its a great shame that some of these adherents can't live up to these ideas despite having received the grace to do so, but its not the fault of the ideas themselves.

  • @SummaTheologica

Ideas, when became ideologies, are dangerous.

Of course no idea can live in its own, it needs our minds to live.

Ideas are seeds, they need soils to develope real plants.

I am an atheist, I have come to realize this through the gospel.

  • @barefootID

    Cool. I'm a omnitheist.

  • @1PostPoMoMaN1

sounds like the opposite to atheism, isn't it?

  • to summa theologica from poor dis/mis/unbeliever: To whom would you adscribe all the pain and cruelty that far surpasses the beauty etc. that exists in the world? Are they not all the work of the Supreme Maker?

  • Reminds me of school (Worth Abbey)

  • very nice with male singers. i also play the songs in bigger flutes, seems a bit more relaxing to me that way.

maybe i got to get that cd -

    thanks for sharing :-)

  • Her music is really great.

I come from Germany und have visited the monastery she founded a few times now.

There are still many nuns there who live by her rules and those of Benedic of nursia.

Their prayers for the day are always in gregorian chant. 6 Times a day. It's really wonderful to listen to them sing. They have such beautyful voices. Especially Sister Lydia.

  • I didn't know that, because I haven't seen that movie.
