  • Hi! Where cn I find rules for 1\5 baha competitions?

  • HPI FTW!

  • hey i won my very first race at the track such a smoooth track and great jumps

  • Hi! What shock oil do they use and what shock pistons (front and rear). Thanks!

  • @Glukonarik - This was the very first 5t race ever. These trucks had just hit the market when this race was held. Very few people even had one, so I would say that Nearly all of these are right out of the box stock 5t trucks.

  • Clean Race.

  • if i had the room and the money, id have one of these instead of 2 1/10th scales. haha

  • 555 , I thought they're big trucks.

  • @brookgho1 - They Are big trucks. 1/5 scale Gas Powered 26cc engines.

  • Thanks for the answer.

I have a 5T, but in the (fast) corners the car is rolling.

Because the cars are driving so well, i think the setup was different.

  • The cars looked superb in handling!

    What;s the setup?

    (shocks, oil, camber, enz)

    Can you guy's tell me?

  • @tvanbale - This race took place right after he 5t was released & only some dealers even had them at that time. Most of these are Out of the box stock. Some have Very minor add-on's such as pipes, but that is all. The 5t is a very good truck right out of the box.

  • @tvanbale A set of axle extenders usually helps this situation. You might give them a try. Also by campering your tires in just a small bit allows the tires to plant flatter in the corners. These two things should help your handling quite a bit.

  • @tvanbale - I can't spell today ... Camberiing - meaning lean the tires in a bit. Simple adjustment in the rear by turning in the tie rod link. In the front there are small washers placed inside the upper arms between the ball link on the end of the bolt & arm it's self. Remove washers to lean tires in.

    Good luck in racing !

  • LOL! That's so awesome. I'll get one as soon as I move to the sticks. I'll get a bull a duck and a cow too. They all sound the same.

  • ok thanks.

  • is this place in riverside in southern california

  • @kirksajerk - Yes, Turn up the volume & listen to the announcer at the begining. It's a great R/C facility.

  • dont blink!

  • oh nice....

  • What happened if you win??? I won money o what?????

  • @alexsensation1 - Most races are for a trophy & possibly a prize of some kind. This was the very first 5t race & I don't remember what the prize was. Possibly a new clear body ?? Of course bragging rights to be the Very first 5t race winner too.

  • great vid and what a great idea for an event 5ts rock

  • driving these cars is probably a lot more like the real thing, just cuz they are a lot heavier and slide

  • 25+ pounds, yes it is and very easily injure you or someone badly

  • Just got my Baja after 3 years of thinking about doing it and damn..... what a blast!

  • yeah milestone!

  • i agree

    shreader327

  • believe it or not 1/5 scale is cheaper and more reliable than nitro or electric. think about it. nitro fuel 30 bucks a gallon, lipo batteries are between 70 and 200 bucs for one battery plus a lipo charger is 100- 300 for one charger, gas is 3 bucks a gallon, the engines will last forever if you take care of them, oil runs about 5 bucks for about 7 gallon of mixing, glow plugs are 7 bucks a pop for good ones and a good NGK plug for these are around 3 bucks and last a long time

  • its cool

    is it on tv lol

  • this is like the sickest thing ive seen

  • Thanks !! 1/5th scale is Awesome period, but definitely some of the most fun cars you'll ever drive.

  • what kind of tires and rims does john schultz have on his?

  • This race took place right after the 5t was released. I believe everyone was running stock tires. Nothing else was available at the time. John just happened to be lucky enough to get a clear body to paint with his colors.

  • They look brilliant. The way they handle so much better that the smaller scale 2wd buggies is impressive.

It's possible that one of these puppies could persuade away from my all electric ideas. ;-)

  • its did that to me to ;) lol im saving up this whole summer to buy me one of these

  • F#ck yeah!!

  • question can you modify these 1/5 scare r/c to reach higher top speeds? 50-60mph? they look kind of slow.....

    thanks....

  • The stock 5t will run about 45 - 47 mph out of the box. They can certainly be modified to run faster, but cars designed to run those speeds are no good on a race track.

  • Meaning a smaller track. Set-up, along with power & gearing all are determined by the track. Check my Oval videos, as there were cars clocked at 54mph on that track.

  • does any one have video from a on board camera?

  • I don't know of anyone running an on-board cam at this event.

  • the track guys got major cuhonies

  • hello am from Brazil! 'm buying a baja5t, your video is very good! these cars are hard to ride? seem real, other than nitro

    tank you

  • traxxas stuff is kinda like having a boat or a house always having to spend money on them.

  • very awsome my wife is sold she wants one nice thanks guys lol and i agree with the dudes from the carolinas they need to bring those races here. anybody have the address for the nc track trying to get back into racing these things only probably im affraid to race the nitro rustler i got because of how much they break.

  • 6510 hwy 17

    Vanceboro, NC

    Contact Name brent or tommy

  • what is the adress

  • Milestone Ranch MX Park: 12685 Holly St, Riverside CA 92509

  • It would be nice if someone did this in NORTH CAROLINA!!!!!!!!!!!! hint hint.....

  • Got my vote too !! The Farm sure is a nice facility.

  • cool vid word. I wished they had something like that in brooklyn NY. In a few weeks i'am getting the 2.0 version of the baja buggy

  • Great video, nice to see an organised race with only 5T's. Wish I was there with my 5T!

  • Great vid!

  • traxxas should make the slayer in a 1/5, that would be sweet.

  • Traxxas doesn't like to play follow the leader, they prefer to start their own classes and hope others follow.

I have no clue why they don't go 1/5 scale again... I'm sure RPM would LOVE the customers when it comes to parts... RPM makes a killing off of Traxxas owners lol.

  • o bet rpm does coz traxxas shit brakes so easy compared to hpi shit

  • I would sell alll of my rcs too. These are soooo cool.

  • Cool video!!

  • Nice vid Looker!! Looks like a great race!!

  • these things are awsome id sell all my nitro cars & a kiddney to buy one.

  • Damns these things haul ass. Look alot faster then stock baja.

  • i went to those races and they have to be no larger engines then 26cc but other then that the upgrades are unlimited

  • that truck in the lead is in the rc driver mag it is a sick pic

  • Did these trucks have personal transponders on them? If so what kind of times were they getting? Great footage! I just a white 5T right before Christmas but only got to run it twice. Stupid Ohio weather!

  • The trucks did have transponders. Type in a search for HPI Baja Nationals & check the HPI web site for the final results. They did very well. I feel with you on the weather, being as we are in Indiana.

  • ok thanks i'll check it out

  • who agrees with me that they should have made this Baja four wheel drive or 4x4?

  • i do for sure

i mean whats the point of makin a car related to 1 u have already made and sell it for more when the only real difference ur getting is the body

  • I'm glad they made it 2wd since the fullsize trucks that it represents are for the most part, all 2wd.

  • ok.. point taken!

  • yes but the chassis is exactly like the 5B which is a buggy... so all they did pretty much was add a bumper, bigger shocks, and body >.> for an extra 500$?

  • 4x4 truck class is much more entertaining to watch.

  • I agree as well.

  • well they added different gearing, body, bumper, tires, all anodized parts orange and some moree stuff

  • exactly were was this located at

  • Milestone Ranch MX Park: 12685 Holly St, Riverside CA 92509

    Track info: (951)686-GOMX (4669

  • does this track need a membership or anything i would like to come down there sometime soon. i live in escondido so pm me the adress.

  • nice race! we got rc races here in the Philippines. but i wish we can have an event for bajas. next, year i'll gonna have one of this kick ass trucks. cheers!

  • sick i gota have one of these

  • most of the mods that fit the Baja 5B buggy, fit the Baja 5T truck but yea I would say most of them were stock.

  • I'm sure they were all stock. This truck just came out.

  • Axle extenders & a couple pipe options were the only mods. on these trucks, that I know of.

  • COOL RACE!!

  • im just wondering if the winner had any mods on his truck and if so what were they?

  • Great video Mr.Bob man those Ts handle great
