@R1FFRAPH: If I don't correct A mistake I made in my reply to your query regarding Larry's use of the Gibson ES 335, my conscience will not leave me alone. It's actually a 1968 Sunburst with, as I mentioned, the factory stop tailpiece. And it's STILL just gorgeous!
@R1FFRAPH: Look at the album cover, my friend. If that ain't the most gorgeous '58 ES335 with the factory stop tailpiece (the first year that option became available!) I've ever seen.......
And then he took a little time off and ripped such a nice solo for Joni Mitchell on "and in France they kiss on the main street", and Free Man in Paris... etc.
wow.......all i can say is what the shit........how does this song even exist? what kind of a sick fuck wrote something this heavy? obviously those are rhetorical questions but i think you get my point....ive never heard this version and im so glad my friend turned me on to it...
i bought this album ( vinyl) 30 years ago...its in bad condition and with many scuffs. i would like to buy a new one but i don't know where. my favorite album has influenced my keyboardplaying ( fender rhodes-hammond) a lot.
SN . . . . got this on vinyl! Larry was one of my biggest idols. During the '70's & '80's his playing was unlike no others! Incredible tone , chops & choice of notes! Man, I love this guy! Can't say enough about him!
I bought this album years ago. It has always been my favorite. Unfortunately fire came in my way. Could you please put the entyre album on youtube. Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank-you very much for posting this FRW. I've got this album in the UK but live abroad now. Wanted friends to hear the wicked keyboards, obviously as well as LC's blistering fret runs. Cheers.
My music teacher made me learn this song in 1981, I'm still trying to get it right :)

I rememberd one of the tunes, "Rio Samba", this evening. Great moment.
Any link to buy it ?

Larry Carlton is a legend !
He has added his brilliant playing to so many others music , eg Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell, The Crusaders, etc.
But as a solo man he is one of the best !
