Hey I would like someone's opinion on this.. I'm wondering if I should play this year, but be on the same ball hogging, disrespectful, non cooperative, bossy, hyprocritical pathetic excuse for a lacrosse team. I love to play but I'm stuck on the B team when all my friends are on the A team. I may sound a little bitchy but I'm the smallest and I can't do anything about it.
@d3athf3st Play. Prove you're different. My first season we had no structure, coaches would come high, some shit players and I took charge and got myself better with some friends of mine. Eventually I started leading that team in a sense, even though there was still no structure. Just get through it and in high school it'll pay off. Bad lacrosse is better then no lacrosse. Take advantage of the opportunity. Missing one season could mess up your whole career. good luck.

im 13 6''1 and in 1 game broke a kids collarbone (with a crosscheck from behind in the neck and charged) and the ref didnt see it so no penalty. Later that game someone one thought that he wanted to avenge his team mate se he droped his gloves and took off his helmet...what did i do? droped my gloves took off my helmet punched him once in the face a took his two front teeth out...im not allowed to play next year
actually the first one was an accident because he turned around at the last minute. And if somebody drops their gloves and takes off their helmet to fight someone whos a foot or somthing taller then them their an idiot...

id like to through something out here I live in Massachusetts and my HS is 11th in the state and most of our players do play football and 1 kid is going to Duke for football but not lacrosse I way 160 and have hit him full speed and watched him fall flat on his ass and he weighs atleast 220 and lacrosse does require more skill its like soccer's running and passing and footballs hitting and defence combined

@SoutHcouGars2010 look at it this way in lacrosse you have to train and practice to master both your main and off hand and you switch off between these "hands" but in baseball you dont see anyone switching from throwing the ball righty then throwing lefty the next inning. lacrosse takes much more discipline and it is a game of technique and precision
@co8539 LOL, I can throw with both hands, and bat switch. Is that your best defense for it? Try hitting a 65 MPH curveball that looks like its going to hit you then breaks to your knees. Or a 85-95 MPH fastball, less then a foot from your chest. In baseball we don't need to know how to throw with both hands.
I play football, I wrestle, and I lax. Lacrosse definitely takes the most SKILL out of all three of those. Of course football takes by far the most strength, and wrestling the most endurance. But don't bag on a funass sport if you've never played it. Hitting people in lacrosse is soooo satisfying, probably more so than in even football. But football will still always be my first love.

Only the middies are running that full distance. Most high school lax players are weak and weigh far less compared to football players. This is from playing both lax, football, and ice hockey. I'm not saying lax hits can't hurt like a mother sometimes, but 90% of them are just finishing an unbalanced player.
Well... at a normal school there isnt that many hard hits but at MY School... there is a lot... at least 5 REALLY big hits a game... LIVE, LIFE, LACROSSE
sometimes its necessary cheap shot someone. im not saying you should try and hurt someone. but a nice big hit is always sure to fire up your teammates.
Half of those hits were bullshit. The guys were nowhere near the ball and they just get blindsided. Those aren't good hits at all. Wait until the guy is actually facing you and see if you can still bowl him over so easily.
last season i got laid out and it broke my shoulder. i had to have surgery and endure three months of PT. Guess who's back for one more year?

@SoutHcouGars2010 look at it this way in lacrosse you have to train and practice to master both your main and off hand and you switch off between these "hands" but in baseball you dont see anyone switching from throwing the ball righty then throwing lefty the next inning. lacrosse takes much more discipline and it is a game of technique and precision

@co8539 LOL, I can throw with both hands, and bat switch. Is that your best defense for it? Try hitting a 65 MPH curveball that looks like its going to hit you then breaks to your knees. Or a 85-95 MPH fastball, less then a foot from your chest. In baseball we don't need to know how to throw with both hands.

I play football, I wrestle, and I lax. Lacrosse definitely takes the most SKILL out of all three of those. Of course football takes by far the most strength, and wrestling the most endurance. But don't bag on a funass sport if you've never played it. Hitting people in lacrosse is soooo satisfying, probably more so than in even football. But football will still always be my first love.

@olinebacker35 ya but still lacrosse still has a lot faster pace. Football is more physical no question and maybe even a tad bit more entertaining, but lacrosse is essentially an all around sport. It has the physicality of football, the speed of soccer, and the strategy of hockey. I love both, but lacrosse is the shit my friend!

Do you know half the strategy that goes into a offensive formation, or defensive formation in football? EVERYONE has to do their job for it to suceed, because you are aloud to get hit, you can't just lateral the ball backwards. It doesn't have the physicality of football either, try tackling a 215 lb. HB, running full speed, compared 2a 170 lb. lax player.

In lax its 48 minutes(minus halftime) of pure running up and down a 100 yard field. plus i dare you to try and run as fast as you can with a lax stick down a field while people are hitting you with 6 feet poles and shoulders.Your ignorance is mindbogglingly.

You clearly never touched a football, most of my offensive drives take 8+ minutes, each, and we are wearing 20 pounds of pads, including helmet. If you want to talk "athleticism", the way you describe it, just running, then cross country would require the most. Your logic makes no sense, and lacrosse is still for pussies. @Lukefromdayton you aint kidding dude, ive played alot of sports and the worst hits ive ever taken were in lacrosse and hockey, football is marketed so much here in america, alot of the people that play it and watch it think that its the worlds most brutal sport, they never care to look into other physical sports. i took some pretty good knocks when i played football but it doesnt compare to lacrosse and hockey, not to mention you gotta keep your head on a swivel or youl take a nap real quick.

Only the middies are running that full distance. Most high school lax players are weak and weigh far less compared to football players. This is from playing both lax, football, and ice hockey. I'm not saying lax hits can't hurt like a mother sometimes, but 90% of them are just finishing an unbalanced player.

Half of those hits were bullshit. The guys were nowhere near the ball and they just get blindsided. Those aren't good hits at all. Wait until the guy is actually facing you and see if you can still bowl him over so easily.
