Sick oversteer at the last corner... I think you actually were faster. Your good but i notice you need to work on your basics. Rev match downshift ftw! Never done one.
@90000bhp Sorry, I don't remember how much everything costs. I purchased all of this stuff a very long time ago. Not sure if it will work with Forza but I'm sure it will. Just search online Logitech G25 and find out if Forza will work with it. It connects USB so I'm sure it will but research first!
love this run, and love this track a helluva lot more, had a question. the "heel toe thing" you do, do you have to do that when driving normally in real life? i plan on getting a stick shift car so any type of answer will be very helpful. thank you. :)
@619vann No you don't have to "Heel-toe" It's only meant for racing and even some race car drivers don't do it. It's an option. Ask anyone who drives a manual transmission car. They probably never even heard of the term unless they are race car enthusiasts. Just drive normally like everyone else. I only do it when I'm playing a racing game. Why? because it seems fun.
@619vann Heel toe is not required for street driving a stick, but it is if you want to race. When braking at full force, a simple downshift without matching the RPM to the road speed will hurt the transmission and will momentarily lock the driven wheels as the engine is dragged up to the right RPM by the wheels.
I do highly recommend you learn about rev-matching and heel-toe when you get your car tho! It does save wear and tear on the vehicle. It's not hard, it just takes practice. :)
when you down shift rev match (heel toe thing) do u rev match after the gear change, during the gear change or before? and is the clutch still in when your meant to rev match?
@mikeschmeee thank you very much, im only 14, got my playstation coming in the mail in about 3 weeks. i want to save up for a wheel and pedals with a clutch to learn how to drive, not that these games are completely real but just the basic techniques
@BluntScootersAus Thanks! When I was your age, I use to go to an arcade called Playdium where they had this Ferrari game. You got to sit inside the cabin of whats suppose to be a Ferrari but the main feature was that it had the same kind of setup. Racing seat with a 6 speed manual transmission and a clutch, you had to drive as if it were a real manual transmission car. It got me the familiar the setup and once I had my learners license it was fairly easy to adapt those skills to a real car.
You know you don't have to heel and toe in every corner right? It seems a bit uneccesary at times. Not to mention you'll be faster without doing that in some of these corners. I'm not tearing apart your driving, but I just wanted to mention it.
If the information is correct you're from Canada, aren't you? So why do you set your equipment to right hand drive? I'm from Germany and I prefer that as well, but I'm just curious why you do so? Thanks
@gheddox I just did it for fun, something new, a bit of a challenge and for practice as I have a JDM ITR 98 Spec in Japan waiting to be shipped to me to Canada in 2013. I mainly do it for fun though. Thanks for the comment!
@xK1LL4x To be honest, I cannot remember. I purchased everything a very long time ago so I had this setup for a few good years now. I had a head injury about two years ago so I have a bit of a hard time remembering some little things. Sorry :(
Yup! If you press in the clutch your RPM's will shoot down and if you shift the stick into neutral it'll actually go into N on the screen. So yes it does actually work with a clutch. :)
No problem. Happy to help out. But beware, if you don't shift properly it will go into neutral. Which kind of sucks as in reality if you left go of the clutch too early while you are shifting you'll just grind some gears but I guess they couldn't implement that in the game so they just made it go to neutral. Also if you don't press the clutch in at all it'll go into neutral as well. Maybe there is a way to turn that off within GT5 but I have no clue. I drive, don't misshift & have fun!

@ibeatobesity One of the songs from GT5. It plays within GT5 during the cinematics.

JDM RHD? right hand drive exists in other countries too
burnzy3210 3 months ago
@burnzy3210 Yes JDM RHD. I wrote that in the title as the Honda NSX-R is a JDM RHD car. Yes, that's correct, many other countries have RHD vehicles.

how much does all this cost. : ) will it work for Forza Motorsport 4 or just GT5 ?

@BluntScootersAus I rev match during the gear change. Yes the clutch pedal is pushed in when doing so.

what happenif you change a gear without pressing the clutch in gt5?
avanpal65 4 months ago
@avanpal65 It goes into neutral and you lose power. It's exactly like a real car except it doesn't stall or the gears don't grind.

@cunhaconstant This NSX-R that I was racing with was all stock. Nothing tuned. Just did an oil change and hit the track. All assists were off though.
