No, the Bengali man. It was in Bangladesh where he developed his theory. It was with Bengali students that he implemented his theory and it is in Bangladesh where he got his first success. Islam had nothing to do with it. I didn't see anything on micro-credit in the quran.

This is not capitalism though, the micro loans are not about maximizing profits or maximum efficiency.

I doubt that they even necessarily lead to pareto-optimum. But still, yeah, the free market has a important job to do in helping production and needs meet, if that's what you mean.
