Buddhism does not believe in a personal God would be the correct answer. It makes no logical sense to a Buddhist. Buddha is a teacher who showed the path to freedom and we try to emulate his teachings and practices. In effect, we can all become Buddhas one day. That is the short of it.

A buddhist is on a journey to become a buddah. And to become a buddah is to be close with God. The enlightenment comes from the answers we recieve from him. Is this not correct? btw I am hopeing some of these comments were not made by buddhist, if so they are far from reaching self mastery let alone becoming a buddah. Never allow others to invoke negativity in you, be aware for it is intentional and it weakens the spirit. Om mani padme hum .

good answer.. i just wonder why people ask buddhists questions about religious beliefs, when buddhism has nothing to do with creeds, dogmas, etc.. its like someone challenging a gymnast to a mma fight. completely irrelevant.
