  • A COLB IS a birth certificate, jack-ass. It's called a "short-form" birth certificate, which is a shorter version of a "long-form" birth certificate. Short-forms don't include hospital info or a doctor's signature like long-forms do, and they're issued to people who misplace their originals (like I have). It's the SAME document, and they're both accepted. If you ask for a $20 bill and I give you twenty $1 bills, it might not be what you asked for, but it's still legal tender.
