I worked in Reading B, Tringham and the Education centre, thanks for putting this up its made my day. I dont know if there is any way tyou can send me some stills of Florance House, the Education Centre, the main building and Tringham etc can you?
i started there july 6th 1979 and left on closing day end of march 1997 they were the best18 years of my life broke my heart when the old place shut she was a good freind to me and i would give away a lottery win just to have those years back again ps im the one sitting in the middle on the bench outside of the social club in brookwood hosp slideshow 3
i worked in the hospital for nearly 20 years and while i was there took many photos.it closed in 1997 the only buildings to survive are the church and the main clock tower building.everything else was flattened to make way for a sainsburys super market and a large housing estate i put the photos on so that people that worked there over the years could remember what the old place lokked like.
