Stevens with an awful game (heresy, I know). Flubbed a golden scoring chance and directly led to two Penguin goals with poor plays, letting a crippled Jagr beat him to the puck after it jumped over his stick while also letting Titov reach right past him, and a dreadful turnover leading to Hrdina's goal. Not his best game.

@ars9s Thats because the Pens fans filled the rest of the seats. I'm a Pens fan from NY and went to this game and it was also my first playoff game I ever attended. This gives me chills watching it again, especially Straka's goal and then his sliding celebration.

Ah, you left out the best part - well the best part for the Pens fans. I remember when Straka scored that last goal. You feel bad for the NJ fans because you know they wanted to win that series - but when that announcer started screaming - Oh God, and an awful line change by the New Jersey Devils - Just Awful! - I couldn't help laughing.

I dig the 3rd jeresys but yes, the jeresys from this game need to be brought back, even if for only one game and it should be against the caps because in 96 when those were the pens 3rds they were undefeted when wearing them that year and the caps protested when the pens wanted to wear them during that playoff series in 96, but it didnt matter cause the pens won in 6 games without the "lucky Jeresys"

Jagr showed why he was the MVP of the NHL that season, even though he missed 3 games, he came up huge in Game 6 and Game 7 to help the Pens upset the Devils, and Straka had a monster series also against the Devils

Great comeback to win Game 6 and then Game 7 on their ice. Matthew Barnaby saying Lyle Odeline looked like Cornelius from Planet of the Apes is still one of the greatest rips ever.

This was NOT the first time that a #8 beat a #1 in this format. It happened a few other times. In 1994, the Sharks beat the #1 Red Wings, in 1995, the Rangers beat the #1 Nordiques and in 1998 the Senators beat the #1 Devils. And just in case you were talking about Game 7's, the Sharks and Wings went seven in '94.
