He is a scammer, but how is he any different than your local churches? He just does it with a little more 'zip'. At least with Todd you get a show for your money. Of course the best thing to do would be to donate all the money you normally give to todd, people like todd, and your churches, to scientific research. If researchers were given all the money that was given to the churches/religions we'd have cures for almost everything, science has healed way more people than prayer/god.
Faith is just that, faith. It is not false hope, it is real hope, however a true higher power may or may not exist. The likely hood of that higher power being of healing power is slim. We live in a world that is governed by the laws of Science, this can not be disputed except by the ignorant and the ones who do not want to accept it. But what is beyond that and what makes up just the sake of things existing is unknown to humans so we substitute it with Religion.

I don't agree with scrutinizing another person's methods of preaching the Gospel (Christian or no), because at least he is out there doing something. Uchih4C1oud, it's called "contending for the faith". The bible commands us to fight against false teaching. Paul, John and the other Apostles did. We can't just ignore false teachers when there are weaker brothers/sisters in the faith that might fall prey to them.
Besides the things I've mentioned, the Bible says that the Holy Spirit is not the author of confusion. Do you see all the chaos that goes on at these "shows"? He hurts people (kicking, punching) and claims God told him to do it. Christ and the Apostles never healed people like this. And,yes. I know Christ put mud in someones eyes. This is what burns me about the Pentecostal/Charismatic movement (which I used to be a part of, mind you). If there are tongues, healings (whether real or presumed), extatic worship going on, you are not allowed to question the legitimacy. Probably because he claims he speaks to God, yet shows no fear of God. Maybe because he never references scriptures, but only his "experiences" with angels, of which he states God told him to persuade the audience to "believe in". Maybe because he says God commands him to be violent towards people. Those may be the fruit people are judging by.

Throughout history, when God has spoken to people in the Bible, not even just God, but even the Angels, the recipient of the word has fallen to his face and trembled in fear. It's funny how you claim you are exempt from this fear. Many people may have very well been "healed". And many people may have THOUGHT they were saved. Todd never mentions repentance, or even scripture. He boasts of his own "experiences" and violent escapades.

I had X-rays once and was sent, with the undeveloped X-rays, to a SEPARATE lab to get them developed. It could be that simple! The family may have already seen the healed pic even though the doctor hasn't. Before jumping to snake oil conclusions we really need to slow down and make sure we have ALL the facts.

2 months ago I went to the emergency room due to food poisoning (from a tainted taco) and an embarrassing skin rash and was listed almost CLINICALLY DEAD!
My sis & 6 Todd Bentley believers (7 total!) laid hands on me and within 3 days (as it is written) I got better and was RAISED FROM THE DEAD!

If he knows that his miracles are real, why is he so excited about the xrays? During routine home visits as a pastor, I've prayed and witnessed healings. Whenever these healings take place, I quietly and simply tell the person to pray to God and praise Him for his mercy and love. Nothing surpises me about God. He can do all things when He wants. God is pure love that overflows, and not a cosmic genie, or a God that needs to show his power by dropping people. He can move the entire earth.

Well the unforgivable sin is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. This is essentially the sin of rejecting God and not being a Christian. This isn't really the same as mocking the Holy Spirit, though the hardening of your heart towards the Holy Spirit could lead to mocking him.

He is a scammer, but how is he any different than your local churches? He just does it with a little more 'zip'. At least with Todd you get a show for your money. Of course the best thing to do would be to donate all the money you normally give to todd, people like todd, and your churches, to scientific research. I don't agree with scrutinizing another person's methods of preaching the Gospel (Christian or no), because at least he is out there doing something. And even Paul said brothers be wary of false prophets but he NEVER said CONDEMN THEM. We need to continue worrying about ourselves first and foremost before we judge another person's preaching methods. If there are tongues, healings (whether real or presumed), extatic worship going on, you are not allowed to question the legitimacy. Probably because he claims he speaks to God, yet shows no fear of God. Maybe because he never references scriptures, but only his "experiences" with angels, of which he states God told him to persuade the audience to "believe in". Maybe because he says God commands him to be violent towards people. Those may be the fruit people are judging by.

Throughout history, when God has spoken to people in the Bible, not even just God, but even the Angels, the recipient of the word has fallen to his face and trembled in fear. It's funny how you claim you are exempt from this fear. Many people may have very well been "healed". And many people may have THOUGHT they were saved. I had X-rays once and was sent, with the undeveloped X-rays, to a SEPARATE lab to get them developed. It could be that simple! The family may have already seen the healed pic even though the doctor hasn't. Before jumping to snake oil conclusions we really need to slow down and make sure we have ALL the facts.

I was sent to a different building to get the X-rays developed, then where the doctor "filmed" (for lack of better word) my back.

ok first I think this is a problem with pastors or preachers.... They have the best of the best yet, there are so many poor people without food around the world. I would like to know a sincere figure (money)of what they spend on themselves vs helping a child or a family in need. It is not about being a christian. It is about what would JESUS do? To all you doubters, I am a witness to the latter day spiritual rain pouring through Lakeland & Toronto (though not so much in Toronto anymore).
2 months ago I went to the emergency room due to food poisoning (from a tainted taco) and an embarrassing skin rash and was listed almost CLINICALLY DEAD!
My sis & 6 Todd Bentley believers (7 total!) laid hands on me and within 3 days (as it is written) I got better and was RAISED FROM THE DEAD!
I praise god & Todd even though I still have the rash!

lol yeah i did, but i didnt realise that it was actually that that was wrong with my leg, my knee kept dislocating and all that stuff until i went to a healing meeting and this guy immediately knew what was wrong, so it grew longer, maybe an inch then re-adjusted itself in front of my eyes, and has been that way ever since! so amazing!

Men Do not heal to begin w/ and when u say those things (regardless if you do good things in life like volunteer in a hospital) then u are doubting GOD!!! If he knows that his miracles are real, why is he so excited about the xrays? During routine home visits as a pastor, I've prayed and witnessed healings. Whenever these healings take place, I quietly and simply tell the person to pray to God and praise Him for his mercy and love. Nothing surpises me about God. He can do all things when He wants. God is pure love that overflows, and not a cosmic genie, or a God that needs to show his power by dropping people. He can move the entire earth.

Well the unforgivable sin is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. This is essentially the sin of rejecting God and not being a Christian. This isn't really the same as mocking the Holy Spirit, though the hardening of your heart towards the Holy Spirit could lead to mocking him.
The bit about the unforgivable sin is in Mark 3:28-30
