  • The Bligh ministerial team are a bunch of wine-lunch buffoons. They are incompetent and useless. Look to their combined uselessness and the total waste of the wealth of Queensland. Smart card drivers license started in 2003 – costs so far $12,000,000 wasted. The Health payroll system – total incompetence – costs so far $120,000,000 wasted. Corrupt ministers – e.g. Gordon Nuttall. This government is useless, yet the REDNECK Queenslanders keep voting these imbeciles in time and time again.

  • Anna Bligh leads an incompetant team of Ministers... She and her idiots have got to go...

  • Especially since they don't pay tax, in the first place. One slice, two bites. Gold Jerry!

Let's subsidize businesses that don't pay tax. Awesome! And what a model to imprint for further national development.

    Er, no.

  • Hey I know this issue is important to you and everything but can you please stop leaving such inflammatory comments on my video? You've been at it for eight months now and I think it's time you let it go. Thanks.

  • To say I've been at it for 8 months suggests a consistent effort.

I didn't reply to me randomly out of the blue.

It had totally vacated my radar until another, messaged moi.

And if this is your idea of inflammatory, it's amazing you have the stomach for Youtube,

  • True, but your original message WAS eight months ago. I generally ignore people who comment on things that late no matter what they say. I'm just commenting on the aggressive undertone of your comments. Like the last sentence of the one I'm replying to now, for instance.

  • The tone is sharp, but I'd not consider it teribly aggressive. But then, people who listen to Steely Dan all the time probably think Nickelback is heavy metal.

You're a friendly guy in an earnest and patient kind of way. I simply wouldn't train needlessly acidic tones in your direction.

    Peace.

  • Oh, and those private schools they're propping up. Ideally and constitutionally ought to be secular schools. The chuch is so eager to provide an education? Let's see them subsidize with their bulging wallets.

Hey, Hillsong pays shit all to charity, let's see the Hillsong express spring into giving. A religious education is between the parents and the religion. Not between the religion and my tax. They aren't allowed to recognize a religious position.

    Constiution 116.

  • The few that are taking out loans, are not the majority. The majority languish. And like I said- It's a shit, or get off the pot situation. Most of those PAYING the funds, do not get them. If they're so bent on this incentivization, phase out public schools altogether, and lower the cost of private even further. What we have no is the potty purgatory. They still can't afford where their money is directed.

Stop wasting their money on crap, commit to an accessible structure, or stop wroughting.

  • Or... would that be as sheep?

Hmmm, get the metaphore right and it works on two levels.

    Cool.

  • One could easily argue that they're trying to incentivize the private school sector by rendering it so far superior. That is disconnected with the reality of attainability for those that provide the funds.

Either give the public sector the money they contribute, or give them back their taxes. Then maybe they can afford private, eh?

Shit or get off the pot.

  • some one is raiting in bad

  • i wish i had an Australian accent

  • its a little difficult to be understood with an aussie accent (or so it seems when i talk to canadian's,americans and english)

  • Hope to see more of your videos again soooooon!!

  • Miss you terribly! Hope all is well?

  • your quite cute :]

just incase youve never been told before .

  • But anyway, this isn't about the position of the religious. It's about their position in TAX PAYER funded schools. If you want religion in your school, go to a religious school. If you can afford. If you can't, just beg them to be christian. Like THEY beg the government to do (Private AND funded? Wow). Money from the government, and stiff fees, for your own flock? Ouch. If you can't afford religious school, choose another school. Or another religion.

  • actually governments subsidise private schools for two reasons - so that parents have the choice of sending a child to a school of their religious choosing. and secondly and most importantly of all - it SAVES THE GOVERNMENT MONEY. every privately schooled student costs the government half what it would pay if they were in the public system. if the government stopped funding private schools they'd have to pay billions more because thousands would go back to state schools.

  • Distribution of funds, yes? What you say, is true to an extent. It doesn't nut out the conflicating factors at work, however. It's a shit, or get off the pot scenario. The majority of people, as it stands under the present climate of wage and taxation, can't afford to send their children to a private school. Obviously though, the finances of the majority, provide the majority of the tax that acts to subsidize.

Their money is deducted from them, and in the homogenizing mill of distribution-

  • Is palmed off in large disproportion to the private sector, a realm where they cannot reap the benifits of the tax they contribute. And while we have sweltering classrooms without air-conditioning, a woefully b-grade supply of learning resources, and paint peeling off the walls, what do we have? The same silver spooners using hundreds of millions per year to "counsellors" as wolves, and disseminate their faith. (Don't give me "that's not their job". They BRAG about it in their own circles.

  • *** to DRESS counsellors, as wolves.

  • the majority of people in the private system are not silver spooners - they are merely the children of parents who sacrifice and take out loans so they can give their child a better education. you just sound incredibly bitter.

  • PS- religions are already tax exempt business as it is. If they want to send their kids ot a "religious" school, and the religion is so exaltedly holy, let THEM subsidize. Let's see the holy establishments put their money where their mouth is. It's nauseating aneough that these pious pricks drive swank cars into swank houses, from business that don't CONTIRBUTE to the tax that goes to their schools. I call bullshit. Let them fund their flock. Not me.

  • you complain about the condition of the public schools yet if you had your way and the government just funded public schools the thousands of students leaving the private system because they would be unable to afford it would result in government funds being even more stretched. each student in a private school costs the government half what it normally has to pay. that is a fact. the government is not stupid

  • You cannot distil a lateral point. Though many have tried pointlessly. No, not complain about the condition. Complain about the distribution vs the condition vs the tax structure.

No, of course the government isn't stupid. They just just spend 200 million a year breaching the constitution to prosletyze in unkempt schools, while they send aid to foreign nations in the same week our farmers who are undercut by a defective import tax structure are bulldozing the crops.

    Nothing stupid here.

  • No, you're right. A government that spends millions a year, to inject a substance that is banned in european countries, imposed upon our will, that incurs more cost to remove, to 100% of the drinking supply, when only 7% of the supply is consumed.

Nothing stupid here. A government that spent, what was it? 7 million dollars to renovate the city square in to a barren, treeless furnace.

    "They take out loans"

Like I said, they can't afford. Stop stealing their wages to spend on crap.

  • I was going to take your advice and just film a video anyways but someone stole my camera ahhh so frusterating and liber8me back off theres no need to be self absorbed in your self.

  • what? all i was talking about was how both sides of politics supported private schools because it saved them money.

  • wow your really confusing me lol.I understood in the beginning but then....

  • ahaha u know when nz had its national elections i was totally the same so i ended up closing my eyes and just picking one, all this b.s about how "one vote can make a difference" is so overated. And LNP is also a soft drink. lol totally killed the intellegent conversation you inspired.

  • Who said anything about supporting the LNP? And who said anything about being a homophobe? Has your account been hacked? These comments are VERY out of line and not at all similar to the "blessings" you left me a week ago. What's going on?

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • wow, you got your submission doen preeety fast

  • Awesome work! But I still don't understand the difference between a chicken and a duck in terms of politics. Is that similar to a donkey? :O

  • I've never written a script for YouTube in my life. Is that what I have to do to improve my channel? haha. Blessings *~*~* Fletcher

  • Just vote Green! Not that I'm biassed. Yes I am in the Greens. You forgot the Greens. They really believe in education but they believe in not funding private schools at all. The savings boost public schools. OK they like recycling water and no one likes to shampoo in someone's recycled piss. But you're getting your desal anyway. Greens are more gay friendly. They are actually thinking long term for what our world will be like for the children. Blessings THE S*A*i*N*T

  • I purposely didn't include the minor parties so the video wouldn't lose its quick pace. In the end the government will be held by either Labor or LNP, so I thought that was most important to talk about.

  • wow not funding private schools would have to be the dumbest thing the government could do. on average privately schooled children cost the government half what it would if they went through the state system. thats why both liberal and labor support it - because it saves the government money!

  • Comment removed

  • you idiot why do you think that the labor party supports student fees? because pragmatically its to the advantage of the economy. IT SAVES THE GOVERNMENT MONEY. it is a fact that when parents subsidise their childrens education IT COSTS THE GOVERNMENT LESS then if they paid the full tuition fee.

oh and haha greens didnt win a single seat. what a pathetic bunch of watermelons.

  • Yay, so they can underfund and public schools with no resources, but make up for it with.... CHAPLAINS!!

A super idea. The wanker brigade that is there to help, forbidden to preach, promises to comply, and then is smart enough to brag about the awesome proselytyzing success in their OWN BOOKS. And why isn't it stopped? Because it's easier to just turn a blind eye to what you know will happen, than to compell it to happen.

Fundie's for office!! Who needs learning when you have Chaplains!

  • Very little government money (and I mean a minuscule amount) goes towards chaplains in public schools. Chaplains are funded by organisations such as Scripture Union in order to help troubled youth who would otherwise fall through the cracks in the system. "Proselytyzing" is always second to this goal.

  • By "miniscule" you mean the initial 90 million right? Or is it the mega millions since? I'm well aware of precisely how much money is providing. I've had to sit through boring and revelation free charity dinners raising funds for them. Maybe if the schools were actually funded properly, they could be run properly and there wouldn't be kids "slipping through the cracks". There is no win in this argument. If it's true, there should be counsel funded. The chaplains I've seen are unskilled dunces.

  • It is always a joy to see them waltz up on stage and do a horrible job, of barely addressing the controversy surrounding their appointment. One even spent like 20 minutes crapping on along his way to the old "It mattered to that starfish" story analogy. It's all over their inarticulate faces. They know they're out of line, and they know they've scored a win for Prime Fundy, funding the fundies.

And secondary my ass. The chaplains are totally two faced. Their priority is clear in THEIR books.

  • Hmm, just ignore the odd typo. I type too quick.

It's a great opportunity for them. It's thumpers doing what thumpers do. Preying on troubled people with promises of euphoria in exchange for mental distortion (which makes sense, because, the world is easier to deal with when you squeeze it into an artificial matchbox).

I remember this big attempt to convert me once that was just classic. A true gem was said to me. "Just believe, and you will believe". Well duh. That's how delusion works.

  • "The Honourable anna Bligh" how about "The Trash Bitch from hell that doesn't drink the water she poisoned with fluoride". I hope you drown you bitch whore!!!

  • Fluoride is not a poison.

  • Do some research. Natural fluoride is not what this bitch has poisoned us with. This stuff that is now in the water is a S7 poison and banned in Belgium from where it comes!!! She is a lying slut!

  • anna why don't you drink fluoridated water???

  • But she does... just like everyone else. Or have I missed something? =S

  • She does not - she has it filtered out at home

  • Do what everyone else does, play ennie meanie mineie moe. For sure, that's how everyone is voting these days. You want to do the popular thing, don't you? ;)

  • Why do I have the idea that you just wore this shirtjust because you wanted to match your wall again....O_O I LOVE YOU!

  • that was so good! Fast paced humor. loves it

  • haha I was so lost, but nice video anyway

  • you to gay

  • Great video!

  • your hillarious

  • Cicadas rule! well...every 11, 15 or 17 years or thereabout...

  • nice effort. (Y)

  • You are incredible.

You inspire me to pursue in my speech class.

    :D

    Ya I guess that's all.

  • lolwut.

you kind of lost me when you talked politics.

so I really don't know why I enjoy your Poultry Press so much haha.

  • u think your health and education system r in a mess??? i live in nsw

  • LMAO! Great video!

  • "love thy neighbor"

    "love thy neighbor"

    "love thy neighbor"

  • unfortunately i don't know what you're talking about today...but I did catch "Slumdog Millionaire" in there and I don't care how mad people are about it...that movie was amazing.

  • I miss cicadas. I miss Australian politics. Thank you for this video. Love thy neighbour.

  • good video and i hate the cicadas, here its full...

  • just run away from qld. come to vic.^_^

not sure what the voting's like here though. i'll let you know once i've voted..

  • hmm one nation...please explain, lol. I really don't know who will win the election.

  • Funny and articulate! I loved this video. The editing was great.

  • wait how do u say cicadas?

    is it key-caw-duhs

    or

    ka-caid-as

  • like an australian!

    see-cah-dahs

I say it that same way

  • LOL.

I am now smarter in Australian Politics.

    And you say sicadas weirdly.

  • Sometimes I really have no idea what you're even talking about. However, I still can't seem to stop watching you :) Haha. I love all of your excitement and energy!

  • Mallards are amazing *evils*

  • Although I do not have great knowledge of Australian politics does not excuse me from the desire or need to educate myself. I think this session of Poultry Press effectively demonstrates the importance of becoming involved in education of what is happening around us. Sidenote for humour, very funny landscaping comments. Quite hysterical and well timed for comic relief ! Peace.

  • they just keep on getting better and better

  • I want to become an Australian citizen so that I can vote for Rohan for whatever he runs for! Until then....you get my vote for MOST FAB!

  • I don't think it really matters to be honest. Labor and Liberal governments in Australia really aren't that different.

Meanwhile as someone who is trying really hard to do meaningful good looking widescreen without the aid of a camera that shoots in 16:9 and without stretching the crap out of the footage making me looking even dodgier than usual... kinda wounded by the letterbox remark. =P

I'm going to sit in the corner and be emo now. Alas!

  • I can never read all of your white lettering.... Hm.

  • i had no idea what you were talking about,

    more than HALF the time,

(because i know nothing about australia)

but, i really enjoy the poultry press videos.

    :)

  • Did you say something about Squirtle at the end?!

  • i love this poultry press thing, but i miss the vlogs!

but i do love love love the poultry press :)

  • They could appoint people who actually know something about the education field. In the united states it's always doctors and the like making policy on children based on disorders they've studied and treated, but there has never been someone who actually taught in the school system for a long time. I'd like the government to stop throwing money and national testing around as solutions and actually bring in experts (aka teachers) into the discussion.

  • "love thy neighbor, love thy neighbor" ahaha

  • You know what funny is that how you feel about your election is exactly how I felt during the election over here (Canada). I had no idea who to vote for or what anyone supported. In the end it pretty much ended up being me and my parents deciding who to vote for so we wouldn't cancel each others votes out and we voted for the party that always wins in our area =P. Not that it mattered seeing as our government stayed the EXact same as before ... but anyways awesome video! Dftba=)

  • insanely awesome you. i give you an eagle

(like in a joke: there was a lumberjack whose breakfast was destroyed every day by unknown person while he left it on a tree branch, so one day he decided to hide himself behind a bush and check out wtf. Down came the eagle and unpacked his breakfast, thrown away tomatoes, ham, cheese and so on. Eagle kept two parts of a bread and started rubing it agains his chest moaning 'Oooh God, I'm so f*cked up!"

    well... yeah :)

  • it was pretty interesting to know how people see politics there :) great video!

  • Education is never an issue people want to touch, even though it is one of the most important of the issues. It makes me sad. :(

  • is it to late for u to start running???

  • vote for Borg, because the cartoonists will love it!

    Resistance is futile!

  • cicadas mean autumn is coming in the usa...

  • Autumn IS coming in Australia! =)

  • ive never heard 'cicadas' pronuced that way before. tis strange... it's probably the bogan factor

but seriously just vote for the left. it works for me!

  • This is the worst thing. It's why the wrong people get voted in. Good boy Rohan, always bringing up the important issues.

  • I Like Commenting On Your Videos Cause Someone Always Replies Back! Nice Video?

  • I will reply to you! *gets in first*

  • One Nation- G-d forbid!

    :D

  • I'm with you on this one... I have no idea whose box to tick come march 21...

  • VOTE FOR ME .... check out me video chicken !

  • Vote the greens yay!

Although you strike me as someone who would make a good young liberal member *vomits*

  • Uh... no. Usually I vote Labor, but I'm an independent voter.

  • Agh, I'm just as clueless as to who to vote for. I don't particularly like either of the candidates.

  • In NSW more than one source is saying Hanson has the "drive and motivation" to win. I mean, duh - sticking her neck out after this long takes guts. Doesn't mean she's able and right to lead.

  • I'm pretty sure Hanson is running as an independent now. Didn't One Nation kick her out for that electoral funding scandal?

  • i fucking love ur vids plz keep em comeing!

  • squirtle!! IM DIEEEINNNGGGG!

    lol!

the bdays not to far away! dig it!

    =]

  • I'm curious if you can answer... are the states in Australia anything like the US States in being technically separate but bound by a federal government?

  • Yes, although the states in Australia have different powers than the states in America. For example, laws concerning marriage are a federal thing in Australia, whereas marriage law is in the state jurisdiction in America.

  • Great video Rohan, i don't understand the whole election process that goes down in Australia (maybe i'll look it up on wikipedia). But as long as your voting that's all that really matters *thumbs up*

  • Voting is actually compulsory in Australia. You get a fine if you don't.

  • cool video!

  • i would not vote for the labor party because the labor party are spenders and the libs are fixers.

    stupid labor party.

  • Historically that hasn't always been the case. Make sure you always check the information your preferred political party gives you, because it's not always accurate.

  • But in the majority of times, thats the case.

    And it's happened again.

  • do you have a lot of american viewers? cuz some of the things you say, i just dont understand your lingo sometimes. good vid

  • About half of my viewers come from the US, so I try and make it as clear as possible for people from overseas. It doesn't always work out though, I guess it means you'll have to do some research ; )

  • my neighbours live wayyy to close.

    :(

I am sooooo glad that I'm not 18 before the election...

Seriously, who would vote for Hanson or Cappa???
