  • from what movie/opera is this scene?

  • @OuterSpaceLord Hello Adolf, I thought you died years ago (just joking, couldn't resist the temptation).

  • the original soundtrack in 1941 was Schubert's Ave Maria.

  • Hitler's favourite... Curious...

  • Wonderful! It's my favorite one.

  • this is from disneys wonderful movie FANTASIA!

  • @OuterSpaceLord

Lol !!! Wagner was so modern and contemporary at his age ! hahahah...! those Augmented chords and Circling Tonalities sounded so trash as you feel now , the same on our age contemporary music !

  • What a glorious masterpiece !

  • Touches the soul. Thanks for sharing.

  • Beautiful..awesome video accompaniment.. Who needs reality when you have this!

  • Simply magic.

  • 4 people are out of their minds

  • The blue landscape with the lights reminded me of a Whistler Nocturne painting in the National Gallery in London.

  • This is intensely beautiful. Thank you.

  • Il mistero della Musica Eterna

  • This is such a firm favourite - rich and full of promise.

  • @OuterSpaceLord ABBA is true European music too.......

  • @altareggo Just because something is made in Europe does not mean it embodies the spirit of Europeans.

  • @Chris9183 Hitler came from Austria and adored Wagner; nothing to be proud of, methinks.

  • @MingnonDunn Ah, I bet you're one of those hate-Hitler-adore-Stalin types. Are you a Stalin lover? Do you think the Soviet was a good thing? Or something better than Nazi Germany?

  • @Chris9183 But it does embody the spirit of Western Europe.... to be more exact it embodies the spirit of Romantic Europe. If you aren't European, you should just be thankful to be listening to such a wonder.

  • @AltarOfTriumph I think you misunderstood what I said before. I agree this music is fantastic...it does embody the spirit of Europe and our heritage. Someone earlier was trying to spite me, saying ABBA was European music too, and I was disagreeing with them on the point that it didn't really represent our spirit.

  • @Chris9183 Ah I see. For me it represents the epoch at the end of a Great Age.... a final dirge perhaps, before the descent into the darkness of to-day.

  • @Chris9183 Actually ABBA is very european sounding, it does not much rely on the american/english rnb/rock'n'roll influences. Sometimes it sounds like italian opera, sometimes it sounds almost like Kurt Weil. There IS something special and european with this band, whatever one likes it or not.

  • @Hellosange England is part of Europe...

  • beautiful!!!!!!!!!!

  • You added this song? It goes MUCH better than the Ave Maria version!! In fact, I thought this was the actual Disney video, I didn't realize you added it, that's how well the song goes with the visuals!

  • "And the ship went out into the High Sea and passed on into the West, until at last on a night of rain Frodo smelled a sweet fragrance on the air and heard the sound of singing that came over the water. And it seemed to him that as in his dream in the house of Bombadil, the grey rain-curtain turned all to silver glass and was rolled back, and he beheld white shores and beyond them a far green country under a swift sunrise."

    Tolkien

  • @bshieldsbb01 This does look like the march of the elves, no?

  • the sense of life is here. Sublime.

  • Good image ... I like it. Thank you.

  • I don't know what I have to do with Him... but everytime I hear it i can't stop to cry... at my 46!.

Please, could you repeat this blowing-mind excercise with Pilgrim's chorus from Tannhauser?... trully... I have serious hearth arhythms listen it and I don't mind if I would die watching it.

  • pure genius

  • Ah, the decadence of Wagner. The video's cool though, great job for Disney.

  • Say! This beautiful music reminds me of the 1986 Animated Danish movie called "Valhalla"

  • love FANTASIA... i grew up watching it all the time...

and wagner's music. just wonderful. magical :)

  • It is great! With music from Parsifal (Tha Holy Graal) it is ewen more beautiful than with the original Schubert Ave Maria!

  • The last part, was that like a birth allegory or something???

  • @PopCultureSucks That wise man you quote was none other than Friedrich Nietzsche, and he hated Wagner.

    LOL

  • @MrDuckMan703 He didn't always hate Wagner though did he? smartarse.

  • @MrDuckMan703 He didn't hate Wagner.... they were the best of friends before they had a philosophical debate/fallout. Nietzsche was also a fine admirer of Wagner's music, and probably the only person on Earth who truly understands the libretto of Parsifal.

  • Canção inspiradora.

  • @HUNPatriot1000 Wagner strove to create a "total work of art" and in many of his pieces he came close, regardless of his beliefs, his music is sublime and awe-inspiring. I believe a wise man once said "One should never measure an artist by the standard of his works." Wagner was a deeply flawed human being as are we all, but his art should stand the test of time regardless of the views of its creator.

  • @HUNPatriot1000 I beg to differ however I respect your opinion no matter how fallacious and narrow minded it is at its core. Great art is the eternal poetry of the human spirit no matter what race or ethnicity it is alive in humanity! The saddest part of this is that you have received "thumbs up" for your comment.

  • Where could I download this song in better quality? I search for mp3's but they were not same as this song. Thank you.

  • @IPAVECpartizanski if you have an gmail account i can send it to you.

    best regards

  • Comment removed

  • you can copy the link of this you tube video into a Mp3 converter... To get to a Mp3 Converter just put "Youtube Mp3 converter" in the google search bar..... then this program will download the music of your selected video as a Mp3 . Really useful because Youtube has lots of music....!

  • @IPAVECpartizanski The exact version is Parisfal: "Höchsten Heiles Wunder!" - "Erlösung dem Erlöser" Berliner Philharmoniker und H. v. Karajan , Chor Der Deutschen Oper Berlin. Karajan and (und) Groll. 1981

  • @IPAVECpartizanski

How exactly good uqallity it is ? :D Can you send me ? shark1411@azet.sk.... btw are you imagine some pictures or stories when you are listening ? For example I am sometime creating story about heroes of old times ..something like nostalgy feeling :D I am just asking because I don't know if other people are doing it, but in my case sometime music is connect with visualisation :D

  • @Andy14111411 I am writing a whole epic novel about a man who lives through Nazi Germany and escapes, all with Wagnerian themes, just because this music lights me up so much!

  • @Mirani2 Why did man escape ? and you mean Wagner music inspired you to write text about it ? :)

  • @Andy14111411 Yes, Wagner led me to want to create a world or a story or emotions and vales based on his music, and so I am writing "Siegfried (and the Third Reich)". He escapes because he realizes how evil Nazi Germany is, and since he is waking up, they are coming to get him. Also because the long lost love of his life is escaping and he wants to follow her.

  • @Mirani2 ... escaped... Why?... In Nazi Germany nobody escaped.. just buy a ticket to train, plane, zeppelin o ships... the rest is Hollywood.... for example the von Trapp family never escaped, they just took the train to Italy... if they had been climbed the mountain of Salzburg the way is directly to the Obersalzberg in Germany... directly to the Berghof, the house of Hitler!!!

  • I'm not a huge fan of Wagner's more "pompous" works, but this one is magnificent.

  • I pity all the racist jerks who watch this video...obviously, they're too blinded by their ignorance and hate to understand art, and truely appreciate this video. Instead, all they can talk about is politics. They have my pity.

And, for the record, not only was this opera banned by the Nazi party, but this animation was made in 1940, by Americans. We were at war with Germany the next year, and many animators made anti-German propaganda shorts. If anything, both sides should be canceled out,

  • Delicado y sutil, me encantò!

  • Heavenly!!!

    Beautiful video, too!!!

  • AMAZING!!

  • @baraodomar - LINDO!!!!!

  • I can listen to this entire opera again and again there is nothing in this world like it I can't understand why I never tire of it I only love it more

  • It's so beautiful it made me cry.

  • FANTASTIC ..

  • w w w. hnk.hr/ en/ opera/ parsifal

  • The fact that Nietzsche couldn't appreciate this is prove that he was, as Wagner proclaimed, an excessive masturbator.

  • @TheBrewskiBaby

He first liked Wagner though, writing hommages to the musician in one of his first essays "the birth of tragedy".

  • @antibigbrother3000 an interesting note on that - Wagner referred to himself as "Apollo" for many years after reading this book. I'm sure anyone who read it would easily appreciate the irony involved.

  • @TheBrewskiBaby Hey, hey... didn't you read the youtube protocol when you signed your account up? It's very clear... no calling Nietzsche an excessive masturbator.

  • PEACE ALL OVER THE WORLD.

  • Curious,

The premiere of the entire work was given in the Festspielhaus at Bayreuth on 26 July 1882 under the baton of the German-born Jewish conductor Hermann Levi.

  • Gewoon subliem!

  • Beautiful. The video is perfect and only adds to the subtle epicness of the music (:

  • Gee, Jazz Dog, what's so 'irrational"?

"The Jew by his source and in his very essence is entirely good. The goy, by his source and his very essence, is completely evil. This is not simply a matter of religious distinction, but rather of two completely different species." Rabbi Saadya Grama, Romemut Yisrael Ufarashat Hagalut ("Jewish Superiority and the Question of Exile") 2003.

  • To deny that the man was a musical genious is to not be in reality. Even though he may have had deplorable views of a race of people, his music is brilliant! Otherwise, we practice censorship in denying people the ability to hear it.

  • Comment removed

  • @jazzdog: Since we are talking about reading rather than listening, Wagner wrote a good deal about what his operas meant. Wagner's irrational hatred of the jews was such that he wrote that he despised the jews to the point that he would never portray them in opera. Clearly this points to a different meaning than the one you are suggesting. I suggest you read Schoepenhauer.

  • Finally, the blood of the Aryans has become pure and healed! And Kundry, the Jewess, has died after seeing the errors of her ways! Ecstasy! Read Wagner's contemporaneous writings, the filth he wrote at the end of his life, exactly when he was working on Parsifal. Is the music shimmering and ecstatically beautiful, perhaps the most beautiful ever composed? Of course it is.

  • @alooobre Yeah, Wikipedia is the perfect place to get info

  • Probably one of the most beautiful videos on youtube. Sublime music and beautiful animation. Thank you for posting it.

  • @tahultra True !!!! I' am totally agree with you.Gracias amigo . Arriba Wagner !

  • @alooobre Imbecile.

  • @MartiniandCigarettes why? thah's everything you have to say? now, thats imbecile

  • @alooobre because there is not much more to say to you after your idiotic comment (that you deleted) on Wagner's music. To caricaturately associate like you did Wagner's music with nazis is just proving your lack of culture. And for your information, nazis banned the opera you insult here in 1939. So nothing is as simple as you seem to think. Get an education and until then, refrain from insulting what remains one of the most beautiful piece of art in history. You're a disgrace.

  • @MartiniandCigarettes I deleted, because I DON'T HAVE -T-I-M-E- TO TALK TO PEOPLE LIKE YOU ON INTERNET! Sayin i'm imbecile, because i wrote sometnihg, proves to me you are still a man livinig in a box, with a limit of understanding. And i don't care, thats your problem. Next time, dont disturb me, just explore on internet, or even on wikipedia, where you can read more about this...

  • @MKA829 first of all learn about Thule Gesellschaft and their ideology, history... hitlers passions and his connections before 1933... and than speak to me, and than talk to me about history and intellect. But, until then, enjoy in that music like sheep enjoys calling of his shepherd. Me,i have need to know something, rather then enjoy. Until then, goodbye. PS You can also use google translation to translate this text, but i willrather recommend you to learn english, as i did(not so well, but ok)

  • @alooobre post scriptum answer: I try to learn ^^ anyway, what did you mean? this is clever, Wagner catched some kind of tonal suspension, you shouldn't blow up his work, that's stupid. to appreciate this music, you must disregard the horrible history associated with it .

  • @alooobre anyway, don't forget that google translate exists

  • THIS IS WONDERFUL. SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE TECHNO SETS OF BAYREUTH. DISNEY GOT IT RIGHT--EVEN THOUGH IT WAS FOR DIFFREENT MUSIC

  • Thank you so much Richard Wagner for this sublime music. When listening to it one feels the purest beauty.

  • Walt Disney? Well, Wieland Wagner said in 1966 - short before his dead - to Antoine Golea (french writer and criticer) : "When my grandfather lived in our time he should work in Hollywood".

  • in this part of Fantasia the music is by Schubert, not Wagner!

  • @pedrens this is wagner

  • @ezev8logos yes, but this is not the original soundtrack of the film

  • it's juste music.... wonderfull music...

  • @Gargantupimp

    it's juste music

  • 3 people were born blind and deaf.

  • Transcendental piece. Man as Microcosm.

  • Musique émouvante voire sublime.........

  • Thumbs up if you came here from /a/ Kaworu thread

    Unuttered beauty

  • Richard Wagner- musician of knights

  • So deep so celestial this Final of PARSIFAL.. This is music ..Not a place to talk about the rubbish of Political and racial Hates ! Not even babies would write so disguasting thoughts..

  • @ShermanM36 This is music which corresponds to European heritage... proud European heritage. Take your liberal garbage elsewhere.

  • @AltarOfTriumph garbage ? liberal ?

It's seems that you have not understood.. what I've written It's a beautiful music and I do think it is not on this vid that political trash of any kind must be written !

I an very proud of european culture et de toutes façons je maintiens ,il y a de la place ailleurs pour débattre des themes politiques ...Beeing seeing you,Bonjour chez vous ShermanM36 alias n°6 of the Prisoner tv film !

  • @ShermanM36 Why do you assume babies write disgusting thoughts?

  • @AltarOfTriumph being seeing you..Bonjour chez vous ! Number 2

  • beautiful. thank you!

  • Wonderful Rainbow of the soul

  • The images fit perfectly with the music, but what really moved in me was to imagine this music and the Crucifixion, the Resurrection... it is the perfect music for a Good Friday, and that was precisely what Wagner imagined. This piece has something, something divine, and it's the perfect example of how music is meant to lead us to God, not only christians, but all mankind.

  • Devine! Disney was inspired by Richard Wagner and King Ludwig II of Bavaria. Disney created much of his work out of Ludwig's Fairytale castles. Although he was Jewish, and it may seem like he stole their ideas, Disney's Legacy is too great and beautifull to see it like that. Thanks for uploading this video!

  • @MrLeeberace disney was jewish?your nuts

  • @MrLeeberace Disney was jewesh? You make laugh the chicken. Don't write not right thing. Now every genious is a jewesh ?

  • How could such a virulent anti Semite write something so mesmerizing! This makes coneptualizing the man very difficult. Very untidy the world! Don't you think?

  • @chaplinmonkey

I think that the trick is remembering that nobody is just one thing; we are all capable of great beauty and great evil, and have both sensitive and dark sides to our personalities.

  • Comment removed

  • @boomstickmeetsface The jews were responsible for terrible financial practises after WW1 in europe that caused Adolf to react the way he did & arose to power. So many jews escaped to USA, look at how many were so creative. Mind you Adolf was a veggie & artist, gulp! His best work was while in prison. As Adolf liked Vagner, think it was as his music was so inspirational. Perfection! L`anneau des Niebelungen is my fav! Just cos it might appear imperialistic, does`nt mean its anti semitic.

  • @chaplinmonkey

because "antisemites" have always right.jews are parasites peoples who the dream is to destroy by race mixing the Aryan Race, thats why they make come the immigrants in ALL western country.

  • @scarwarsnow so what? his religion discredit all his work and all his done?

  • @Morricone1 So what? His religion discredits all of his work and all that he has done? I think not, cunt.

  • @Morricone1 That is what you really, deep down, meant to say amiright?

  • Hello, excellent job - better than the original. Which part of the Parsifal opera is this music?

  • @testure1982 it's final part of Parsifal

  • @testure1982 it's final part of Parsifal (and it's not "Ave Maria")

  • You're quite an artist yourself to have merged these two masterpieces so successfully....Bravo friend, thank you for the inspiration.

  • This is so sweet!...

  • Is it just me, or does the bit coming out from the forest into the light look like a birth canal?

Certainly feels like a rebirth in the music, so wouldn't be out of place.

  • Wagners unconquerable genius his REAL EUROPEAN ARYAN SOUL cannot be surpassed ,his music is timeless his personality and ideas is what gives his music the ethical gravity of its magnificence

  • @Napoleontas ...Um excuse me?

  • @Napoleontas weird comment ARYAN SOUL "cannot be surpassed" and the "ethical gravity" WAGNER ethics,

Wagner lover too but .... weird comment

  • @joshvn715 What is so weird i was crystal clear.

Wanger was a European-Aryan Genius, who performed not only with his music but with his ideas, writings ,inovations and ethical background

  • @Napoleontas ... ethical background, are you endorsing his

socialist leanings and ... nationalist sentiments thus support his advocacy for National Socialism?

    -

To place the word European to highlight his genius, is unnecessary but tolerable.

To place Aryan is ... peculiar, more specifically the "ethnically charged term" of Aryan to EVEN describe his Causcasian heritage further calls into question the level of "tolerance" one would expect from a reasonably educated and non-Nazi fan of Wagner

  • @joshvn715 Of course iam endorsing his political views, he was a German not a jew, and of course cause you speak of education, Wagner would have been a National socialist if he lived at th time of Hitler but he died in 1883.

If you think that European is an unnecessary then i also think that your comment ,is also unnecessary. And who told you that anyone must apologize for endorsing National socialism and Wagners views ,especialy a random brainwashed person from the net?

  • @Napoleontas National Socialism is essentially Nazism and people have APOLOGIZED for endorsing, participating, even TOLERATING the existence of Nazism.

So it is not a random occurence or caused by "brainwashing" which is the convenient excuse of many APOLOGETIC NAZIS.

I am not calling you a Nazi,

I can in fact appreciate diverse opinions but my initial suspicions of your tolerance towards avowed Nazis were proved correct.

And I don't associate myself with Wagner's political and racial views.

  • @joshvn715 The funniest thing of all is that a European should apologize to AN AMERICAN for his political views!!

Are you NOT endorsing wagners views and if not why? Have you ever read a single text that he wrote, or have you ever been informed about the Historical situation in Germany back then and now?

Get serious, stop watchin spielberg movies for your education, and then comment

  • I want this music played at my funeral. I want it to be the last thing I hear as I pass through the veil between this life and the next. Wagner may have been a lot of things, but his musical genius is undeniable.

  • Nice variation on a Wagner masterpiece.

  • Persians- Iran. Iran is derived from the word "Aryan". One of the interpretations of Parsifal is of "purification of the human species". Basically, this is an insinuation in itself

  • can anyone tell me what act from parsifal this is? or what it comes under on itunes?

  • @loufembot not sure about itunes but it's literally the closing 5 minutes of the entire opera (that's act 3).

  • Jeng this is the end of parsifal..not the 1st act. it is also a decent recording..probably ltaken from levine or karajan

  • Something about this doesn't sound right. I mean, this is definitely Parsifal... but it doesn't do the famous half-step down to a minor key briefly. It simplifies and goes straight up major...thus ruining it for any Parsifal fan.

  • sounds a bit of lord of the rings

  • awesome video

  • Sol, Osiris, slain and risen. Loved it!

  • Without a doubt the most fitting and stunning pictoral close to this remarkable piece of music. I see Parsifal whenever it's (rarely) performed; a five hour musical meditation....Magic!

  • Sublime, it's way too beautiful. Always makes me cry, honestly.

  • I understand. It's so beautiful it's almost unbearable -- like being allowed to see eternity for a brief moment and not wanting to return.

  • Totally agree brother! This is one of those pieces of music which elevates us from that grim mundane reality of everyday life;a moment of grace,a moment where you catch a glimpse of the resplendent light of the other side of the curtain and you just want to perpetuate that moment.

  • Avngingandbright = Idiot
