So much wisdom, I praise whoever has stumble this far on Bruce Lee and understand his philosophies. You are well on your way of learning what the art of life is about.
man this is heaven! listening to the greatest kung fu overdubber of all tme interviewing the greatest martial artist of all time.ted thomas did a fantastic interview!
I have no words for this gentlemen!! His wisdome is way to far for any one in this time! A great men and great artist. One of the thousands!!!!!! Every 1000 year god send us a bruce lee!!!!!!
Bruce lee was not perfect and he contradicted some of his philosophy at times. But make no mistake about it he was an example of what a human being could become and example of how a human being could come to do when they free themselves from the attachments to things, ideas, beliefs, people, etc. that society dictates to you. His thinking is way above the level of most humans. I am thankful that people recorded his thoughts and actions.
Bruce's views, combined with his way of expressing those views, almost have a musical feel to them. His words are iluminating and all the while the lisener does not resist, for Lee is right on it. He is Super-Confident and very certain about his knowledge and his understanding about himself and what he is trying to do with himself and his art. Bruce was extraordinary. His contrubution to Martial Art is properly recognized, but he has not yet recieved the recognition he deserves as a thinker.
hell yea bruce lee was sooooo right that Hong Kong always copy successful things. Well China also copied too...like they always re film many many many same stories over and over. its just like a competition. i really hate to see that. in my opinion, if copying something in 20-30 years regarding the same material will be fine but copying something in just a few years is such a pain. and i know that it hurts some actors too cause they're being compared. show some respect and express honestly.
this is extremely rare! one of the great martial artist of all time and ted the guy who overdubbed all of the shaw brothers films! what a find! nice to put a face with a voice!
@isaiahangelo he didnt write the book. They were just personal notes he wrote while he was confined on his bed for 6 months from a back injury, and years later after his death, his wife sorted all of his notes and drawings into a book
@darkiller00789 he does have a few books out and Shannon lee just release a new book of her fathers writings ans daniel inosanto has a few books with his philosophies
Hey I totally agree with you. I actually got into bruce's philosophies which actually made me see the TRUTH. Now I have no religion but I still learn from many different sources. I am going to start JKD class soon as well. We dont have to have a religion to get to god, and we dont have to have a style to punch.
@jystyle Well said. It also has to do with our illusion of "progress." We constantly add things to ourselves to make ourselves into what we want to be, rather than cutting through all of the illusions our mind creates and simply BEING, honestly and in a non-reactive frame of mind (non reactive in that we are not defending our ego state or self perception or acting out of defense.) In taosim this is called Wu Wei. Just BE, don't add muck, internalize what you believe and BE everything you do
Also, Bruce is totally right about his remark on the yes men, or how people react differently whether you have long hair or not, etc. People need to stop assuming and being so fake, and instead gain self knowledge and unite.

his metaphore about style and how it seperates people can interpreted into Religions and social beliefs that corrupt society today.
From what i understand, he is saying do not believe but learn and know for yourself. Blind faiths is not the way to go
