  • what? '-'

  • Ever heard about the "not broke don't fix it?"

    Yeah....

    Over-singing is dead...

  • I'm not mad at you changing it up, I'm just not into that style for the song=p.

  • u sound a little bit like alanis. really really nice cover =)

  • 5/29/2011, 142 people need a serious attitude adjustment.

  • amazing voice and very deep, oh I'd love this arrangement, greetings from Poland :)

  • BUUUUUU

  • If you like the beatles check out my cover of this song. I play it more like the original, so try it out.

  • @BrandonShayMusic what if people like her version? she plays and sings very well, she is a "stylist", not a "mimic".

  • da schaudert es mir es klingt so wunderbar *da kommen einem die tränchen!!!!

  • I love covers, and she does a great job on this...Beatles first albums were filled with their covers in which they spun songs quite differently... British invasion

was not swamping the US with British music as much as it was their interpetations of the US music they loved.... we loved their interpetations as much as their originals ,,,, I can say I really like this interpetation better than Beatles Studio made original,,,,she sings it real like before it made the studio,,,

  • holy hell! you are really talented!

  • way to slow this song is not a slow balid

  • @kymoody11: Let me tell you that you are an idiot. I hate idiots. Not only is your spelling wrong. Next: The speed is alright, a cover does not have to be a copy of the original. Next: She sang it nearly five years ago! Why do you idiot have to criticize her right now?

    I love this version.

  • interesting.:)

  • I wasn't a fan of how this interpretation started... I know it's in another key... I'm fine with that, the strumming is different which is wonderful--actually. but @ 1:02 it really picks up. I think that part makes the entire song for me. I don't know what happened, but I think maybe you weren't as confident as you should've been in the beginning. I also just noticed that this was recorded quite some time ago. I hope you've found your confidence because you can really sing. :)

  • I like this a lot

  • Actually, LTF...it is a decent interpretation of the song and musically solid. You are confusing your lack of appreciation for the style and interpretation for quality. Common mistake.

  • Very good. I especially like the F 6/9 chord you used at :58. Very nice touch!

    Ignore the idiotic comments.

  • you sucks

  • bfff so bad

  • beautiful. i like it much better than the original!

  • Ignore the hardcore "The way the Beatles did it is the only way it can be performed" idiots. I thought this was a really interesting take on the song. Keep up the great work!

  • bad

  • @gut5b I'd like to see you play and sing the song. If you think you can do better, please make your own video.

But if not, don't go sending your negative remarks around.

  • @SuperShabangabang

Imo...if you put yourself on Youtube you are asking to take the good with the bad. You make us the audience. As a member of the audience I am entitled to an opinion w/o having to compare myself to CRAP like this. I am not putting myself up here. I don[t have such an ego. She does. So I will be honest. This sucks. There is a GREAT cover of this song on Youtube...but this aint it.

  • aw this is so lovely!!!! <3

  • everybody's a critic... contrary to the morons who diss you because you sing it differently than the Beatles, it is an advancment to be able to express a song your own way... not a bad thing... a good thing. Keep it up, you sound good!

  • you killed it! just took a gun out and shot it in the face. how awful.

  • @farloo100 what big bastard are you !!!!!! you should take a gun !!!!!!!!!!

  • amazing!!!!

  • I love that you slowed this beautiful song down and made it your own! I've always thought it needed to be a slower tempo than the Beatles did it. Beautiful, girl. Keep it up.

  • je suis fans de Beatles, belle voie ,guitar parfaite,,,MAIS la chanson est trop déformé a mon gout,,,on a de la difficulté a reconaitre le chanson par bout,,

    mais belle interpretation quand meme

  • I'm sorry but country style just doesn't go with that excelent beatles song...Really doesn't go

  • moron

  • its worser the second time around.... fucking garbage

  • crap

  • omg!!, I really like how you slowed the song down!, It sounds so good! =)

  • I really like what you did with this song. Well done.

  • This sucks donkey dick big style.

  • great song great singing great e

  • people only say negative things about it cause it's different and unique.

i respect it. it's not my favorite style but definitely got passion and talent.

i like that you changed it up. and u have a very nice voice.

  • a veri veri well version!

  • Very passionate and very well done!!!

  • nice

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • you really carried me up there with your emotion as you took off with those original vocals. i would think you experienced this and wrote it yourself. nice

  • GAYYY no beatles happiness to it you gotta be happy and have fun

  • You have a great voice. You aren't too bad with a guitar either. Great job. =D

  • Really, really nice. This is such a great song and it's nice to hear a new voice singing it.

  • Really gorgeous cover. I think "going off" vocally sort of hurts the simplistic beauty of the original melody. But I agree with most commenters here. Your passion for this song pulls it off... I feel the honest and spirit in your voice.

  • no mames se escucha raro

  • Superb!

  • que buen cover

  • I love your rendition of this song

    Quite beautiful...

  • I'm British, and remember my parents coming home in October 1965 with the Help album and a Bush valve record player to play it on -and so I have extremely fond memories of this song. You've covered it beautifully and very individually. You could visit my page and see if you like my cover of You Can't Always Get What You Want, which I note you to have performed (well I might add :-)). Keep posting!

  • You did a very good cover of this song. You're not a professional, but in your voice you made me perceive how much you like this song. Really good in my opinion.

  • @callotas

ya anyways ... beautiful voice and really layed back version...

    thanks

  • I like what you did with this classic song.

  • I like it. keep it up! I was just watching your vid for COME TOGETHER. it was intense!!

  • nice voice =)

  • I'm not saying this to bother you but it sounds like 'I remember you' by skid row

  • Nice interpretation! Your faces are pretty. Cool painting too!

  • keep doing what your doing.

    i can tell youlove it.

i love the beatles and this song!!!

your kinda plain..which makes this video beautiful and sincere...you make it about the music not you.. i love it

  • i liked it...i just dont like how u slowed it down

    u did a great job

i just like more upbeat stuff i guesS?

  • I have to say, not what i was expecting. the thought of hearing a women sing this song would ruin the song. when i was hearing it, everything was different about the songs. I was left really impressed, this version is really good in my opinion. good job!

  • go listen to megan tonjes version its awesome

  • Not bad at all. Your voice is true.

  • While I find this version interesting, changing the melody changes almost makes it a different song. While I appreciate the effort and great performance (singing and playing), I prefer the original melody.

  • Why do people have to say things like 'You suck?' If you don't like the version, you can say so in a respectful manner. There's no need to insult the lady. Personally, Ms. Gum, I think you have a beautiful voice and I like how you re-invented the song a bit. The original is one of my favorite Beatles songs, but you went and made it personal and really emotional. Great job.

  • Wow this Dude is pretty good!

  • awesome job making your own =)

  • it's a fucking cover, it's supposed to be diff from the actual version!

  • @XazucarX let me hear your cover then.....

  • I really enjoyed this! It was very beautiful, and such an interesting cover. I liked the choices you made. Keep up the good work!

  • You ruined a Beatles song, shame on you!

  • Have you heard Lucy Kaplansky's version?

Yours reminds me of it, they're both a bit slower...

Well done, I love your version :)

  • of course nobody reaches the beatles. but well done. its really good and sounds like a totally different song. beautiful!!!

  • Отлично, как и большая часть исполняемых вами песен )

  • i agree with ZeldaHarvestMoon boooo

  • You have a deep, powerful voice. I kept thinking "Cher" during this video. Which is a pretty high compliment. :)

  • omg thats like the best cover i've ever heard, not just from I've just seen a face!

    Your voice is fantastic!

You completely reinvented the song and I think thats great.

Havent seen your other vids but i'm going to right now!!!

    Keep up the good work!!

  • sorry, i dont like =(

  • nice voice

  • I make faces when I play too. I think a lot of musicians do, and the non musicians dont get it. Nice cover, voice and face :D

  • YOU SUCK.

You completely ruined the song. What is this?!

  • it is called "a different interpretation" of the music... quite usual if you take the time to see...

That´s how musicians sing other people songs with a new approach...

Oh... nevermind, you probably won´t understand...

  • I love it! This one of my favorite songs to play to!

  • very nice!! really, i like this version

  • nice version

  • Good job. I like the faster version but at age 54 anything thats fast and can make me move I appreciate. But the slowed down version is also good and its your interpetation. One thing the sixties taught me was it's OK to be different. Keep up the creativity.

  • i think the song is meant to be faster, because it just songs bettter.... because the excitment and energery you get being in love is incorporated in the song...but its not when you slow it down...

    imao

  • great voice! and i like your version of this song.

    thanks for this vid.

  • nice nice :]

  • keep it baggy. PEACE BROTHERS!!!

  • nice song, very nice cover.

  • I like the way you're singing, nice arrangement, your guitar, too.

    Perfect!

  • changing the tempo changes the interpretation of the song in my opinion. The original was fast paced to represent the rush of love. This interpretation was intriguing though.

  • I like´d the way she´s singing...It´s not only a coverversion...She gives her own feelings in it..Very good..Doesn´t matter what all the others say..for me you´re the best ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • Bad.

  • Very nice version...Congrats!

  • Very nice variation. This kind of music is a breath of fresh air.

  • this is really good. way to twist the song and make it unique. :) this is the kinda singing that american idol would love.

  • one of my friends said:

a cover isn't about making it sound the same.

it's about making it sound how you feel it sounds

    great <3

  • wow, you're really good.

i typically don't like this type of cover, especially for the beatles, but you did it really well. :)

  • first i was like "WTF IS THIS?! THIS ISNT I'VE JUST SEEN A FACE?!?!" but after a couple seconds...i realised that this is a beautiful version that you have made, well done, it's nice to see you make your own original version to the song X)

  • love it beautiful version. no make up and so beautiful no band and still so beautiful just shows real pure talent is stripped down great thank you madmouselle merci merci merci from gtojoe in phoenix arizona usa made my day so much better thank you again madame

  • powerful absolutely pure and powerful and to all the wannabees critizing her why don,t you post something because i,ve looked all you critics up and nothing because you don,t feel music and have no talent just how sad your life is when you have to rip on a beautiful and very talented lady. madame merci merci merci from gtojoe in phoenix arizona usa you are a singing angel thank you again madmouselle merci merci merci

  • atually id really like to sing some of there songs a post a video on youtube BUT im still workin on how to play the guitar and no1 ever told me i had a bad voice and when i say somethin about her im not critizing her im just saying i no it could have been better and she should see that and tri better next time cuz theres all ways another day

  • no no no you just ruined a great song your voice is good BUT ive just seen a face is a dance, feel good, feeling a lil pussy whipped song and you just mad it sound like a sad song which in no way is it a sad song ......EPIC FAAIILL!!!

  • She didn't ruin the song. She just changed the genre from bluegrass (minus the fiddles and banjos) to a bar room jazzy blues style. Not many people could do that and get away with that. She just did.

I am a Beatles fan, and I've bought all their original vinyl records from when they were new, and I still like Paul's version better, but this is not bad--not bad at all.

  • i complety disagree i think people should leave there songs just the way they are feel free to post a video singing the song as long as it is sang the same way because when the day is all said and done its not gonna be as good as the original song

  • If that held true in the real world, that would block out all creativity. Have you never heard Frank Sinatra sing Yesterday? It was much different from the Beatles! The Beatles were flattered. Do you like the original Red, Red Wine by Neil DIamond, or the way UB40 did it, reggae style? I think Neil sang it best in Hot August Night, but in Hot August Night 2, even he complemented UB40 and sang it like they did. He said, "They sang some of the words wrong. I don't care. They're singing my song!"

  • good point but those singers have that standerds to live up 2 i mean can you expect frank sinatra to sing yesterday in a shitty way? no because they have those standerds but this girl doesnt so when she sings a song like ive jus seen a face slow and soft like it doesnt sound good the lyrics and and tone of the song just dont work read my first comment i said she has a good voice but it dont work now if she where sing a day in the life or the fool on the hill it would sound so much better

  • I read your first comment.

Are you saying that if Sinatra had sung Yesterday exactly the way Paul McCartney sang it, it would have been done in a shitty way? I dont think that was his intention in changing the style. Its called stylizing.

The Beatles were from Rock N Roll and Sinatra came out of the Big Band era. Thus, they had completely different styles.Besides, if a second group records a song exactly the way the first band did it, I think they could be sued.

    She did fine.

  • Chewwinggum does have her own style, and so she has stylized this song to fit her style. Just as UB40 completely changed Red, Red Wine to a Raggae song, she took this song and changed it to her style. There is nothing wrong with that.

What it boils down to, is whether you like this style or not. If not, then you can chose not to listen to it, but then just go on to the next YouTube video. You don't need to linger and put her down just because you don't like the way she sang it.

  • yes i do because thats what leaving comments is all about its about leaving your comment your opinion etc but besides that i didnt like it and it just didnt sound right im not puttin here down im telling her the truth so that she can take a negative and turn it into a positive :p

  • Ahhh. I understand. You don't like her style (NEGATIVE) so you think she is going to remove this video and re-sing it the way YOU like it (POSITIVE). :p

Ummm. Do you think she should change the way she wears her hair too?

I mean, just because YOU don't like it?

HOW, then should she wear it?

  • where not talking about her hair or clothes or watever where talkin about sytles of music i dont like this version of this song but she could sing somethin like a day in the life or the fool on the hill with this same feel and i could absolutly love it so if i say this version on the song was horrible (NEGATIVE) and say to her in the nicest way possible next time she sings a song for her to just pour her heart into it i mean really POUR her heart into it that would be the (POSITIVE)

  • She DID really pour her heart into this.

    SO that would be POSITIVE.

  • well i didnt see it it seemed plane but one day when i get a camera ill record a video of myself singing somethin like while im away and ill show you a good example of pour my heart into it so send me a friend request and when i get it ill show u

  • I didn't like it at first either, but I was having fun with you because I didn't like the way you were putting her down, and the more I defended her the more I liked her version.

Listen to the way she plays the guitar. It is not the same and I think the chords are different. Then listen to her melody. It is different too. She has taken a LOT of time and energy to CREATE a different atmosphere to make it the way SHE feels the song. Then when she sang it, she put all her heart and soul into it.

  • You're the tallest tree in a forest of talent. bill

  • i think you did wonderful it is amazing

  • you messed it up. wow

  • Interesting version.

  • I remember one beatiful lady long time go,oh yes Joan Baez!

  • not a fan seniorita... kinda ruined a beatles classic?

  • ahaha you sound like shakira

  • she sounds nothing like shakira

  • That's exactly what I was thinking! hahahaha I kind of like it, but maybe she should have sung another song....maybe a shakira song!

  • it was very different but pretty cool ur talented

  • I like the original way to perform it best, but this actually was pretty good! In fact I like it a lot! Good departure from everybody else who has done the song.

  • excilent butyou might wantto stick to the way the beatles sing it because its more ofa faster pase song and not romantic and such. just a thought

  • The point of a cover is to be different then the original.

  • Very nice job - I like your alterations- and I love the Beatles and their originals.

  • The test of a great song is that it can be delivered different ways . There are some great versions of this one - nice one chewwi !

  • terrible! omfg why you change the original song? omfg

  • my comment above was a reply to you my friend (i0want0u)

  • i rember you....yes nice...

  • love your comment... im all for change on some songs... but not this one

  • nice attempt but really you made it sound too country-y yknow?

  • If you cant play the song right, then dont play it at all.

  • awesome job. fantastic overall. loved your singing the most. :)

  • Wow girl I love your voice. I wanna learn to play this guitar and now I have to!!

    -love and light-

  • great fucking guitar playing. 5/5 girl.

  • Love how people change the lyrics to avoid being stereotyped as a lesbian.

Song doesn't sound half as good with him instead of her.

Dylan had it right when he covered house of the rising sun.

  • you're the classical girl with average voice trying hard to be a pop star. ay ay ay mi gato se va por el canalon.

    PS Well done!

  • I think it could be better if you did a cover with the same melody:) But the video was nice :D Gj!

  • I love covers which do NOT sound like the original, but which bring their own meaning and feeling about the song. E.G. Eric Clapton did a great job when he covered his own Layla in "Unplugged" in very new different way

  • nice video ! I like the music song a lot . Thank you for sharing .

    nutier

  • Guitar is respectable and would cut it if you decided to cover this song at a professional event, BUT your vocals need a little reigning in; drop the over the top pop delivery and you'll be perfect. The drawn out :eyeyahayaha" and "againnuhhuh" will impress the common person but to a musician you DO sound like your trying to hard. It's a rookie mistake and in no way reflects your vocal abilities but your delivery needs polishing.

    just keep at it.

  • seriously man... "ypur vocals need a little reigning in"... who are you anyways? I think your are great :) period

  • ehh I'm nobody ;)

Just a musician whose played tours and lived the dream. If you can't take a little criticism; stay out of the music business. You WON'T make it.

  • and as I said in my last comment; she is good but she needs to lose that over the top pop delivery to be amazing. She's better than a lot of people, but one must always strive to perfect their art.

  • Beautiful. Love your voice and your guitar skills are ace. Taking Requests!? X

  • woh, i like your cover version. sound very nice!!! keep going~~~

  • not boy, not him! its a song about a girl! just sing it as it is, it doesn't have to protean to your life. thats destroying the song. other then that nice voice

  • Wow! You have amazing voice i could listen to you all day! Post more videos! :P Very Sara Mcglachlen.

    Your awesome! Keep rockin it

  • Keep the feeling and the faces coming. Your performances are right on point!

  • Nice to see a decent cover. love the style, voice and rythum. 11/10.

  • What do you mean "plain jane" beatles songs? This is one of their best from their mid period. And this is a fantastic cover. I would pay to come and see you play. But as a guitarist myself it's frustrating that i can't see your fingering. But you've put some nice alternative chords in there. Add 9ths and sus 4ths?

  • Darlin...you just did a magnificent job on a pretty plain-jane beatle song!

  • Your really good,Im jealous man.

  • amazing. just made my day. cache 22, there are not enough girls out there like you, but if there were, you wouldnt be as special.

  • bravissima......

  • WOW

You sound beautiful... too bad Beyonce is on the radio

  • ur trying 2 hard

  • AMAZINNNNGGGG cover

The beginning made me think you were trying to go Irish -rock.. but the whole song is just a very very good adaption.

Five stars. I enjoyed it from start to finish.

You definitely know how to play that guitar girl! ROCK ON!

Post more if you're up for it..

    I love the Beatles

  • very different, but i liked it :]

  • very very good, I'm your fan since I've listen for the first time "more than words"

  • very good

  • iffy.....srry i like the other version

  • sorry but no

  • YOU SHOULD B ON X FACTOR NEXT YEAR

  • i love how you sing but i didnt like your version of the song still 4/5 :)

  • just had to come back and listn n watch again this is an amazing cover

  • this is my favorite beatles song and you did an awsome job i love the feel and style you put in to this great song john, paul, ringo, gorge would aplaud the way you did this 5000.ooooooooooo stars to u merry christmas
