  • absouletly my era rocked! 70s!

  • classssssic is the best rock!

  • who the hell can dislike this song? some people are retarded when it comes down to realizing a awesome artist, wish music still sounded like this.

  • @muisc44 It does, some among us bother.

  • How can part 2 have less views than part 1? Its the best bit of the tune!

  • DO YOU FEEL LIKE WE DO

  • Songs like this are why we call this music CLASSIC ROCK !!!

  • best part:.... WELLLLLLLLLL! :D

  • Ahhhhhhh! A breath of fresh '70's Rock air!

  • peter you are the best guitaris ever ,.. ottawa canada ... thx randy

canada usa the bayou louisiana , we alll luvin it

  • I resume that he didnt have no success with his venture.LMBO

  • The guitar he is holding in this photo? Thought lost in a plane crash 30 years ago.

Was just found!!. He has been reunited with the very instrument you hear being played in this song.

    What a story!!

  • Whoever clicked on the dislike must have hit the wrong key lol!

  • Enjoyed it. Thank you!

  • free ride !!

  • TBSEver ;)

  • if you look the views on part 1....clearly there are over a half a million idiots who don't know about the second half lol

  • On the record, you can hear how the crowd only gets louder, and louder, and LOUDER after the song ends.

  • @ 1:50-1:52, I said the same thing to a chick and she said that it was a great "pickup" line.

  • @NoafUckinway nicely played sir

  • Harrison can make his guitar weep, but Frampton can make his guitar talk.

  • saw this live got chills when he made his gutiar talk man got chills :)

  • 11 people in the world DO NOT like this?

  • Am I the only one? I can listen to this song over and over, especially the talk box. Mid 70's for at least one summer his songs reigned at the top. He was respected. He was not dismissed as teen idol type. Too bad he did not attempt another live followup, even if it did not do as good

  • My bro CARL knew great music and he turned me on to this.

  • For me the ENTIRE identity and trademark sound of this song occurs at 5:21

This is Frampton to me. Such a signature sound

  • @roquefortfiles sounds like flanging or a chorus effect over the repetition of those notes

  • @SmokeandVapor Yes. And i believe a Leslie Speaker is in there too. I really love his sound. Its very unique. But i prefer it during this era. Today everything is digital. Its not the same to tube amps.

  • 4:41 the sound of a forced eviction

  • this first time I've heard this.... holy shit.

  • keep jammin on......etc....

  • @Stuka1494 he's right you have really nuthin that will ever match the 60's, 70's, or 80's for that matter but ya i guess you are missin out in all that excellent rap

  • a lesson on how to capture an audience,,,w/ dynamics and melody...B-E-A-UTIFUL.

  • to the 11 dislikes....there is more to a band than a singer and a mix board

  • sweet

  • this rock no es para ñoños.

  • I think this is the best live performance ever, Great track, have loved it for years,,,,,,,

  • The ending to this song...... Hey man you can't beat this shit with a big stick LOL.

  • Killer Guitar Work!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I was born in '90. I can't understand why anyone listens to anything made in the last 10 years... This is the greatest live performance ever, and it won't be topped; Reason being: There's no talent left in music.

  • @dorititty yes there is. You just choose to turn on the radio and assume thats all there is right now. I used to be like you then i realized there was a whole world of music i was missing out. what an ignorant statement.

  • @dorititty wow, that is a seriously silly thing to say

  • @dorititty i was born in the 90's dont feel so bleek about the future

  • @dorititty There's no talent left in music.

Glad you realize that!! Its true. Its all pre fabbed "Lady Gagga" nonsense bullshit now.

  • What you do is have Justin Beiber go on after this with his little gay.. "Baby baby" and then all of his mall rat contingent will see what crap they are listening to.

  • What I don't get is how part 2 has less than 1/2 the views of part 1. Over half a million people listened to part 1 and then didn't finish? smh

  • amazing ,still

     the best !

  • this is touted as one of the greatest "live" Rock N Roll song performance's in Rock history!

  • The 70s ruled!! You had to be there!!!There will never be another era like this again. This song is Absolute Perfection!

  • Cannot even fathom the amount of weed that I cleaned on this double album over the years. Still great to pull on the head-phones after I grew up and stopped smoking! Is their a version that does not seperate the two sides? I MEAN THIS VERSION?

  • @wiswv , Those double albums worked great to clean weed!! Like you I stopped smoking, some people would say I'll never grow up. But isn't it great to sit with those head phones on, music cranked up near deafness then just shut your eyes and listen? We had some totally awesome music back then.

  • HIS best song? Best live song ever!!! Thumbs up, if you agree.

  • Rock and roll!! My youth!!!

  • Still feeling it after years!

  • I remember great weekends with my buddies,Heading out to the mountain streams,on a friday.. evenin. Framptom on the 8 track,A bag, Beers, and close friends,And some great fishing and a whole lot of good times..

  • this toke is for bob mayo on the keyboards

  • 4:42. One of my favorite moments in rock n' roll ever!!!!!! Time for Peter to kick in some heads and shred!!!!! WooooooHooooooo!!!!!!!!!

  • wondered when can i ear part 102 :)

  • this is the shit i would of givin anything to live in the 70's i was born in the 70's but not the same damn the bad luck

  • @craigtrayevon u would have loved it!!! And just vibe into it....and imagine a lotta Sunshine w/really light blue days that sparkled ....mountaindew and lazy dayz by the pool.......and transcendance

  • Bought this when it 1st came out years ago. Was in the military living in a barracks but I had a killer sound system. I and my buddys would rock out to this and many other great bands of the 70's. Lite up and grab that air guitar and let it go. Will be attending the anniversary concert with one of those buddy and our sons in St Augustine. This will be an amazing thing to share with our sons.

  • Possibly one of the greatest end solos ever put on tape. Epic is too small a word. Its not that it is overly fast or flashy but that is gradually rises up and up until it pretty much takes flight and then holds your attention to the very last note.

  • In 76 i set my speakers on top of my car at my high school and EVERYBODY asked me who this was....half the school went to Anaheim to see him. 60% of the audience were females. I've been to a LOT of concerts in my 52 years of life and this was by far the most awesome. Peter captured his audience with his "Good time" personality. After he finished the band "Yes" followed with the first lazer light show ever. It blew everyone's mind. It's no wonder this is the #1best selling Live album EVER.

  • Ma quante canne mi sono fatto ascoltando questo pezzo. Sfortunatamente un miliardo d'anni fa.

  • I HATE the use stupid catch phrases but one applies here... One of the best songs EVER! I still remember taking the cellophane off my double 33rpm record set "Frampton comes alive" back in 1978. Remember my brother wearing out his 8 track copy, a couple of them. Of all of the recordings of the crowd, after a song, THIS recording is probably the best I have ever heard. They go crazy for at least 2 minutes and the sound just gets louder and more full. Incredible!!!! Being there must be awesome!!!

  • WOW... Listening to this reminds me of the summer of 1976. I was 14. I used to lay in bed at night with the lights out listening to WBCN. When this came on, it was absolutely hypnotic. I hate to say "Those were the Days" but when this came out, popular music was still an ART, before the days when Yuppies took a legitimate form of artistic expression... and completely destroyed it.

  • Whose that? Its Bob Mayo on the fukin keyboards thats who.

  • I remember radio in those days cut out the entire solo to make it fit between their commercials. You had to find a late-night FM station with a DJ high enough to chance his job on playing the whole thing uncut.

  • His best song! Love Frampton! Take me back to 1976!

  • 70's Rocked !

  • @podiodi 70'S THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Takes me back to seeing him perform this live @ the old JFK Stadium in Philadelphia in 1977. I became the best air guitarist in history listening to this song!!

  • ITS MY FIRST ENGLISH SONG WHICH I AM HEAR BUT FROM THIS[VOICE]ME TOTALY IMPRESS SO COOLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • The ending to this song has to be one of the coolest ever!!!

  • Is there a more commanding ending than this? No.

Put it to bed.. everyone else hit the road. Good NIGHT!!

  • i love this song

  • Fuck those 11 people!

  • Truely fucking amazing!! - FRAMPTON ROCKS!!

  • I remember this from my child hood. I'm 43 now but listened to this track many times and I saw my dad listen to it with such passion. He past a while back, and was normally so serious. When I hear this song I think of him letting go and really feeling the music. I'm glad i share that with him. Thanks for putting it on youtube.

  • montrueuxxxx ^^

  • I don't know how YOU feel.... I feel like Justin Bieber and lady Gaga should walk together on the sun! I want to thank you....For feeling like I do!

  • @Dinger2003 What you do is have Justin Beiber go on after this song and do his gay little "baby Baby" then all the mall rat fans can see the nonsense they listen to in comparison to some real music.

  • @buttnut1080 You don't know shit about music you puke!

  • 11 muthafuckas SHOULD DIE!

  • One of the best finishes ever.

  • @andrew34430 I totally agree with you.

  • 11 people dont feel like we do

  • How can ppl don't like this???GOSH!

  • 5 De Novembro Em LISBOA

  • O Peter envelheceu pácas, comparando c/ foto atual, mas o som melhorou pácas, too!

  • best solo ever ! ;)

  • 35 years ago today one of the best albums of all time was released frampton comes alive

  • The finale of this track is one of the all time finales on a vinyl record. Sure there are better endings and there are certainly better records. But this one has a sense of joy and togetherness about it, which includes the audience shouts and screams as a major contributor to the track and the album as a whole, as they show their appreciation to Pete's, and the rest of the band's, playing. It brings an immense smile to the face. Play while sitting in a traffic jam. It should see you through.

  • @StLandrew1958 Great comment!!

  • Ese hace hablar a la guitarra

    xD

  • a wonderful artist who knew what he does in times when music was an art.......

  • I wish I could play the guitar like he does.

  • Anyone that doesnt like this song is deaf!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • AWESOME

  • HE ACTS LIKE HE INVENTED THE FUCKIN THING

  • I dont get it? The Beatles get 1.5 Hr. because of historical reasons and Frampton doesnt get more than ten?

  • I dont get it? The Beatles get 1.% Hr. because of historical reasons and Frampton doesnt get more than ten?

  • 3:53

"WHA NA NA NA NA NA, WHA NAH NAH NUH NA, WHA BA DA DA WHU NA NA"

nuff said, through a vox that is.... :D

  • Best Part at 4:00

  • @fuckoff187 I agree! To me its what makes a good musican. If you look back at the 60's, 70's, and 80's the best musicians sounded better live. They added a unique touch to it that only came out in that moment.

  • this is one of the few songs where I prefer live to the studio version

  • ...This is before that stupid tubed talkbox thing right? this is back in the 70s, it's because of this guy that they did the whole tube thing in the guitar. after peter did this he just stopped, cause he new he could not top this. now a days he's just goin around doing some of the old songs. but this guy did this with precision voiceing and a lot of practice on the guitar to give it that techno voice thing.

  • @Michaelcraftier Knew*

  • does anybody realize in a talkbox, the guitar sound entirely comes out the end of a plastic tube, nowhere else.then by forming the shapes of words like talking with the tube in your mouth,it sounds like what it does.but thats why they're right on top on the microphone, thats the only thing picking up the sound of the guitar! so i guess they have to have a killer PA system for the guitar to sound that good! they're also incredibly easy to make yourself.the talkbox, that is......

  • gotta love it when he says do u feel like we do with that mouth organ LOVE IT

  • How I reminisce the era gone by. I was young. The world was knew. The people and the ecconomy was spurring entrepreneurs from all walks of life.

We were week-end stoners once... and the beat goes on. Nothing changes but the faces.

  • As amazing a MASTERPIECE as this STILL is; it was even MORE magical-sounding back in the days when it came out --- a totally sexy, innovative, invigorating and transcendental experience.

Them majestic days of Rock&Roll have long been infected by, and Gone With, The Bieber Winds of Our Musical Insanity. And shame on me, too, for even uttering the very name of the Dark Mediocre Lord of our musical discontent. lol

P.S./BTW: Some of us STILL feel like we used to. ;)

  • @NothingMaster I agree with you 100%. Those wonderful days when ONLY TALENTED MUSICIANS like this were allowed to succed. BTW this piece and Rock&Roll in general owes so much to blues. Its amazing that in this guitar solo you can hear ghosts from the delta crying with sadness.

  • @Eclectic1101 Perfectly put! And true Indeed; BLUES is at the heart of it all.

  • @NothingMaster Bieber has nothing to do with Rock, though. I don't like Bieber either, but we can't blame everything on the kid. :/

  • Its like you cold stay forever and listen to this stuff...its classic history made in those years.

  • something tells me the drummer is a bro...

  • @chickenman136 John Siomos.. NO!! Not a bro. And a VERY good drummer!!. One of the overlooked "Great" drummers.. One of the steadiest beats going. And minimal flash and dash. He serves the song perfectly.

  • @roquefortfiles so he's a really good drummer but he's not a bro?

  • @chickenman136 LOL!!! No not a bro!! Think he might be Greek or Italian. He's dead now!! So is Bob Mayo on keyboards. The only surviving guys from this band are Stan Sheldon (bass) and Peter. This song is classic not just because of Peter but because all the other guys are dialed in as well. Everyone is "in the zone" Stan Sheldon lays down some really funky bass groves if you listen and Siomos is just rock steady in this. He is one of my favorite drummers.

  • @roquefortfiles but how does this make him not a bro? i don't see your angle. he sounds like the guy in 'ain't no sunshine' by billy withers, look at the video and tell me this guy is not a bro

  • @chickenman136 ?? What?!! Your talking about the drummer? Google him!!

John Siomos. Doesn't look remotely bro ish to me. Looks like an Italian or Greek guy

  • why is this in 2 parts?

  • @colegegrad probably cause the song is more than 10 minutes and thats the max amount of time a youtube video can be, unless you pay

  • Frampton at his best.....greatest talk box song ever recorded in live version. Never to be matched or duplicated. One of the best feel good songs of the 20th Century. Do you feel like I do???? That's all right, good times, good times, good times. Good Times....

  • J the best ever................................

  • This just blew my fuckin mind!!!

  • @sneakykebab There was some aewsome music back then, huh, oh young one? :)

  • @yammerhaw101 Yeah pitty i was just a sperm cell! lol

  • i live for the talk box solo, who agrees that your whole lifes depend on listing to the talk box?

  • why dont you allow playback on iphone!?? We i need some peter frampton on the go your video is the only one that is the best!

  • Beautiful song, but the real solo starts at 4:52, and she's a beauty...

  • SO HARDCORE TALK BOX!!!

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

  • cant.wait.till.he.comes.tothe.atx.again

  • I was 18 years old in my college dorm room llookng out into the sunny day. I was tripping on acid with some of my best buds. ill never forget it. We laughed uncontrollably that day and learned some things that we thoght we'd never learn.stay in the flow ~~~~~~

  • Ahh I love this man!!! I always wondered, does he say "pass that joint" through the talk box?? lol!

  • This is a classic. I am so tired of people saying that nothing will match it and the new stuff is crap! I am over 50 and there is tons of new stuff that is great and will be a classic in 30 years! Listen to the music here, appreciate it but stop your jawing and enjoy the sound!

  • @Prayer4Pat you're absolutely right, i'm 49 and i love DEFTONES,AIC,GODSMACK, JANES ADDICTION and more new stuff! There is a future classic solo in the song 3 days, from Janes Addictions(Dave Navarro) that is SICK!!! ...AND PLEASE, EVERYBODY, LISTEN TOOL!!!

  • @Prayer4Pat - "is tons of new stuff that is great and will be a classic in 30 years".......Uh name one. If there is it sure as hell ain't being promoted because I've yet to hear it and I do look. Maybe Radiohead, White Stripes, Kasabian, but that's about it, I really can't think of anything else and even those groups ain't that much, barely passable to be considered "classics" in 30 years. Please don't mention Coldplay, they are absolutely god awful and I'm not couting albums from the 90s.

  • F#ck Akon and his voicebox Bull$hit. Frampton invented that shit. Just sayin

  • i agree this is his best but they all were from this album im 48 i grew up with this kinda music todays crap dont even come close to this.

  • @7888batman I listened to this and could not stop PLAYING "DO YOU FEEL LIKE I DO"!

  • @7888batman THIS IS MY JAM!

  • Yesssssswayyyyy!

  • the best of the best of the 1970s, this song will always stand alone, no one will ever be able to capture the heart and soul of a generation as peter frampton did with this epic.

  • this song is so long , it took 2 parts !

  • hero

  • 5:03-6:00. Wow......

  • @Rowdyrecords55 Fukn love that solo.

  • damn this song makes me feel so nostalgic. i miss my youth so much.... wait, i'm still young

  • Thumbs up, if you feel like Peter does. Do you feel good, well, do 'ya?

  • favorite songs to take bong hoots to hands down

  • @able506 I agree, it's so damn soothing.

  • peter was and still is an innovator. HE PERFECTED THE VOICE BOX. god bless his greatness. may he live long and entertain millions. i know he already entertained me..... now excuse me while i spark up a joint, pass it around, sit back and appreciate:)

  • i cant really express how insanely epic this is.... so... imma just........ wwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh

  • I feel it!

  • Welshdeuce - I feel ya. Wish I could go back to that time. Fortunately, the song gives me a little taste of back then.
