  • Hi Shawn I'm a new fan of yours. After years of hacking around, your video on the one leg method helped me go through the ball for the very first time .In the past I always hit at the ball with very poor results.

In your videos are there any tips on keeping your balance.I'm a senior golfer and find this very hard to acheive Regards Daiswing.

  • Hi Shawn

A question. What should be the position of the hands, left arm at address position. Will the hands be under the sternum or forward. Thanks.

  • Hi Shawn,

Would I be correct in stating that the spine tilt in this case will be quite automatic and no additional tilt is needed. Thanks.

  • Shawn, if I'm hitting into a "one club wind" based on my normal set up, if I play the ball lower, does that negate the wind? I understand it's all a matter of experience, but I'm just trying to figure out a place to start. Also, is there a reason to hit the high shot (as opposed to using less club) if you're not actually faced with a tree in front of you?

    Thanks,

    Reif

  • Hey Reif!

High shots are needed for many situations; hard greens, pin tucked in front or front right with bunker guarding or wind behind you...one club wind is not a big obstacle though, you can just hit the extra club normally and it should do the trick; Shawn

  • The right leg is a strong support post to keep you braced against the leaning post of the left leg...

I have 3 more videos to help complete the train of thought here; see "golf Pro Lesson Tilted Spiral" part 1, 2 and 3 as well as the "Learn your golf machine" and "be a solid ball striker" videos; thanks for the question! Shawn

  • this is the best drill in golf. made my ball striking go from average to solid and consistent with minimal practice last year. pumped to really work on it this year - i recommend any of u to try it out.

  • As you will get through my videos (All are listed on my "You Tube Shawn" page of my website; and one of them is the foot and leg work video; you will see that when your focus is on "momentum to a specific target" your body will naturally get out of the way to allow this to happen; then just be aware of how your left leg is moving if you are curious about it; but then do not try to replicate the move of the leg as this would be thinking and disaster would follow...Thanks for the question!

  • Very helpful! If you do not believe in this technique explain why instead of posting useless comments.

  • I like how Shawn always says in his videos, "it will feel like...." very important since i can stand behind my computer and work on the braced tilt in my setup without a club or range....going to the range with "feels" is way easier than trying to reproduce positions....well, for me anyway...thanks again Shawn!

  • i have a problem of hooking low shots, so closing the face is hardly helping

  • thanks so much Shawn! I think the pieces are finally falling together for me..... please keep us postes on when your DVD is available, I am gonna get 1 for sure

  • Starting Monday on my site, shawnclementgolf dot com you will be able to order it; it is in production now and they promised it out next week; you will see a big facelift on the website as well by then too with a nice "Watchdog Blog" to boot! Shawn

  • Shawn Thanks a lot for the high/low technique! I did get a chance to use it before it snowed. Awesome stuff. Can this be used with the drive and fairway woods too? Thanks again for all you've done for us regular guys. We can never thank you enough.

    Tim

  • Driver, Fairway woods, everything!

And you are welcome; glad this is helping you!

    All the best, Shawn
