My first introduction to this intro was in the early 90's when my parents bought my a VHS tape of the first Star Wars film.

As such, during my childhood, this was my universal symbol for "you are about to watch a good movie."

I wish I could say I feel the same way towards it now.

I would be the 22nd (but I don't agree with that like/dislike Facebook bullshit). This new 2009 rendering of the logo is too cartoonish and saturated. The previous one (featured at the start of Titanic) looked much more realistic. Just another example of designers adhering to the mantra: "up the color saturation and it'll look better". I do, however, love the music and the concept.

Absolutely one of the BEST fanfares and logos out there - I love it that Fox is incorporating the 'Cinemascope' extension. And this is my favorite graphic. I wish they would stop fooling with the design of the letters and background and stick with this one!
