@suspekt29 Ah man, I doubt it. Or maybe there's a scratch track vocal demo somewhere in a studio. Grand Pu used to ghostwrite rhymes for a handful of emcees back in that era. You can totally hear it in the speed and style that Pete Rock drops, I was shocked when I found out, but yeah it makes a lot of sense in the way it flows.

Dude, Pete is not a hypeman. He does the backing vocals, but that alone doesn't make him a hypeman. The only time he acts hypeman-like is when he DJs, but then of course he's considered a DJ.
