Man, I love my 1st gen Pearl (3 years with it), but Blackberry is falling apart with the competition. I was about to buy this new Pearl but it costs TOO MUCH and doesn't offer stuff the Androids and the iPhone 3Gs do (whose prices are starting to get cheaper). In havent decided what to do, but looks like it wont be a BB.

Options -> Language and Text Options -> Show Text Input Options -> Predictive [OFF] ------------- DO THIS and you'll be saving yourself from a lot of texting fuck ups. Had this phone for about 2 months now and ever since changed that option I've been typing on bbm and facebook way faster...check it out like this if this works out for you.

Kid. You aren't even old enough to get a plan. To everyone else: Rogers is NOT flexible with their plans at all. Just phone them up for a mock test and tell them you are going on Holiday to Europe and see what packages they have for minutes, text and data for a reasonable price. Absolutely none.

Touchscreen isn't an upgrade by any means. Touchscreen sucks.

And it DOES have a qwerty keyboard, just not FULL qwerty keyboard. I used to have a pearl, and trust me when I say that it's just as efficient if not more than a regular BB keyboard.

And I don't know why you're complaining about keyboard AND touchscreen. You can't have both (unless you go with the torch, i guess, in which case, why are you looking at BB pearl reviews?)

Am I to understand that the Pearl 3G is coming to Rogers not only in the Gradient Red colour, but Pink and Purple as well? Because I have been all over the place trying to find out how I can get the phone in a different colour from what I thought to be the only colour available. And if it is coming to Rogers in all those 3 colours, do you know if they will all be released at the same time? Do you have the two other coloured Pearls on you by chance?
