I'm 56...35 years ago I watched a news story about Isreal. It showed some tanks going though some area in the Palestinian area. What I'm looking to see is an oil spike caused by multiple factors like the BP oil spill, resulting American regulations on oil drilling, and a major war or conflict in the Middle East. Currently, gas/petrol in my area is is about $2.50 (not sure what that converts to in pounds or Euros), but I'm thinking it could end up between $8 to $12 per gallon or liter. That will bring a lot of activity in the world to a screeching halt. I have to drive 38 miles a day to get back & forth to work.

If Iran blocks Sormuz straight , the oil flow stops, the transportation system will stop, the food transportation will stop, people will panic and hit the local grocery stores and in less than 7 days the law and order will stop. After that we will have a very fast die-off in the very crowded countries because of the lack of food and water.

I think people are trying to provoke Israel into taking harsher and harsher action so that they can foment public support for the Palestianians and public disapproval toward the Israelis, which might encourage Israel's enemies to be more and more willing to take military action against Israel. I agree that this is very serious and could spark something like World War III. I'm not encouraged by what's happening. I don't think these ships will start it, but something might.
