  • Matt doesn't know what he's talking about. The Eucharist is NOT a 'work'.

  • The Bible tells us that a man without His spirit cannot know or understand the things of God because they R spiritually discerned,so there is no man alive, who in his natural condition that can "choose"to come to Christ, this is why God must make a man BORN AGAIN 1st.A baby is only able to cry after it's birth,a man is only able to cry out to God after his NEW BIRTH.It is the hearing of the gospel alone that converts a man.Sheep are the only benefactors of God's word, goats R only repelled by it.

  • God has convinced me through His word that He alone is in absolute control of everything and everyone. He controls both the evil and goodness of men,He controls how men think, and what they do,He decides who He will save and who He will damn.God has bound all men up in sin,so there is not a nickels worth of difference between any of us,so those in Hell are there by God's will & man's sin and those who go to Heaven are there because God's grace & mercy alone. This is the truth of God in a nutshell.

  • kinda resembles alec baldwin here. but anyway, one could also mention in Romans how Paul talks about circumcision of the heart as being whats important

  • Matt, your missing a very important verse you could have given him that would have shortened the entire argument and left him cold. Titus 3:5 - "Not by works of righteousness {e.g. baptism] which we have done but according to his own mercy has he saved us, by the washing of regeneration [re=new, generate=birth -- NOT the washing of baptism!] and the renewing of the Holy Spirit."

  • i you belive in works,, then you are bound to the law, must keep the sabbath, in the whole way to keep it, no lights, no cooking, etc

  • Dr. Robert Sungenis has nullified this video, because he is much more of an experienced Catholic apologist than the Catholic caller. Slick certainly lives up to his name trying to rush the caller, and also by bullying the caller rather than engaging hm. Sungenis embarrassed Slick, and it is doubtful Slick will ever mess with him again.

  • God Bless the Pope! Repent of your Protestant heresy and come home to the Church of Jesus Christ, the Catholic Church. God Bless.

  • Everyone...PLEASE watch "Dr. Sungenis Humiliates Matt Slick", both parts, than listen to this!. He has no desire to learn!. Matt Slick will not subject himself to learning anything new!. Matt Slick will not admit when he is wrong. He simply won't stop promoting his version of Christianity. He doesn't care if he is misrepresenting Catholics...he simply will not learn & will not stop what he is doing, in ignorance. It is amazing he has the nerve to say this after Sungenis spoke with him.

  • The Mr. Perfect Matt Slick forced a woman he impregnated to get an abortion. He loves talking about it just ask him. What a wonderful thing for a Christian to do. Way to go Slickster!

  • @MrSupernova890 Do you even know the story? The guys was a young teen when he did it and has long ago repented of it. Seriously man let Go of such things. Jesus forgave him.

  • @Onetruthrgv sadly, ppl cant because they think they are perfect themselves

  • @MrSupernova890 Is this true

  • most people dont that matt is guy and loves sucking noddle

  • oh matt you know the truth sungenis already taught you the truth.you cant be that stupid

  • @myladyschild ~~ Sungenis is buried into a false Religion ~ he has no truth neither has the Roman Catholic church ~# its a false system of no hope ~# who did the RCC ever save?? NO ONE ~# get a grip on reality

  • Slick, I DARE you to bring Sungenis back on your show! Talk to him about these topics - he'll kick you butt in a debate just like he has in the past. Or, are you afraid of truth?

  • Paul says "Abraham was justified by "faith" and not by the works of the law" because "the law" came with Moses, long time after Abraham existed. Abraham was NOT obeying "a law" he obeyed God by faith raising the knife over Isaac Thats why God said "now I KNOW you fear ME"

So, when Abraham existed, "the works of the law" didn´t exist yet. that´s why he was save by faith and not by the works of the law

To change this interpretation of this verse by the Church,is to deny the whole Gospel of Jesus

  • Here,The answer for th question this Matt said us Catholic dont asnwer and switch to other verses like James 2

In Romans 4, Paul is refering to the "works of the Law" or "works of debt" because those jews to whom he is preaching, were still believing they are save by the works of the Law of Moses, 643 precepts (old covenant) Paul is trying to show that the old covenant is not longer needed, so He teaches we are now save by "faith" in Jesus (believing in Him) fullfilling Jesus´s comandments

  • No where in the Bible it says we are justified by faith ALONE. In fact it does say NOT by faith alone.

  • @jannaheilanie You have to understand what REAL faith is. Faith is fully depending on christ & following him. When James talked about faith, he was talking about those who just believe God exists. This is wrong. Those who have true faith in jesus christ are saved. & their true faithfulness towards him will convict us to walk in the LOVE he wants us to. This will be the evidence of our salvation. Not laws, traditions, or joining a chruch. Our LOVE for each other will show our LOVE for God.

  • Refering to your very first comments in this video: could you please tell me who the 5 people were who led the Isrealites out of Egypt? Ex. 4:14; Ex. 15:20 and Ex.24:1 tells me God chose Moses, Aaron, his sister Miriam--she was there...she went out with praises, dances, and all the women went out after her...She was one of the 5 who led the Isrealites...also Nadab and Abihu. This would make this woman an elder.

  • @klcaviar10 There was also Deborah

  • The last time I went to the Catholic church I sure thought it was work to sit there and listen to the cermony. It drove me crazy then and I'm sure it would drive me crazy if I went again. However, to be fair, I feel going to any church is just as much work sitting and listening to any protestant pastor. They all drive me crazy with boredom.

  • If this person considers sitting in a Church and listening to a pastor for and hour or so too much work, you really have to wonder what he does for a living.

  • @Capitalist2012 I am a professor of mathematics; and yes I have always considered sitting in church listening to stupidity to be too much work.

  • @vcomp1960 So, did you mathematically come to this conclusion?

  • @ArtsyPhilosophyGuy no.....I came to that conclusion by experience, no math involved!
