  • I always wondered how far did that kid go on that unicycle?

  • @charlestonchewy All the way

  • one of the best tv sitcom themes ever!

  • Robert - you were an awesome amazing actor, and thanks for all the laughs Juan Epstein brought to my life growing up. My heart and prayers go out to your family.

  • @cschneiderish You forgot to sign it, Epsteins mother

  • I heard someone on the radio say that the school could have been either New Utrecht or Lafayette. That school was definitely New Utrecht HS.

  • And today epstein robert heyges died :(

  • Thanks for this, great and wonderful memories but more imortantly, this song is so great, as is John Sebastian. Great poet, musician, artist, human!

  • This is one of 400 songs on Doug Stanhopes Ipod.

  • Wow!! Wow!! Memories~!!!

  • @DiaphanousDelight Yes Great Memories!!!!!!!!!

  • @DiaphanousDelight Yes, and I know I shouldn't miss the 70's but I do...lol All the new technology and everything can't compete with nostalgia...and good old TV...

  • Great show, I wasn't even born when it started but discovered reruns in high school in the mid 90s. Everyone was quoting the catchphrases at school. Great shows never go out of style.

  • Man, this takes me right back. Great upload...

  • WOW...so many good memories. I use to watch the repeats with my father.

  • One of the great all time theme songs and a pretty good show until John Travolta left...

  • Catchy tune......;)

  • I loved this show.

  • that opening scene with the welcome to brooklyn sign by Marine park Bridge and the train passing with the school in the background makes me nostalgic. I lived in NY most of my life since my teenage years until three years ago when I moved to Miami.

  • Brings me back some great memories when I rode the subway to school and used my train pass back in the early 70s. Now Bloomberg wants to do away with all that. Old fart!

  • did anyone notice there's no dislikes

  • @johootly you just had to point that out did'nt you? now someone will come along and you know..lol

  • @waxheadglossy i thought people would read this and think they should kepp this going

  • @johootly yeah thats cool,I was jokin with u.

  • This was set at James Buchanan High School in Brooklyn. Although there was no mention of this school at all on NBC's The Cosby Show,I'd assume that the Huxtable kids attended Buchanan since they lived in Brooklyn.

  • @arhuxtable

Cosby would have never sent them to a public school. I don't recall them mentioning their school, but it was obvious they were going to a private school

  • I just said there was no mention of the high school that the Huxtable kids attended. The school that Denise,Theo and Vanessa were attending during the Cosby Show run was a public one, obviously because of the combination lockers and hallways seen. I never attended a private school so I assume that kind of schools have those lockers and offer exter-curricular activities also.

  • I remember watching "Welcome Back Kotter"..Great laughs with my dad. I can't believe that I use to live a few yrs. off of 86th St.reet in Brooklyn where I husband was born & raised. What a coincidence. Thanks for posting the theme from the show.

  • In high school, friends would clown me and say "yeah we tease him a lot, cause he smokes a lot of pot."

  • I wish i was a kid of the 70's.... i love this show:)

  • You are welcome back into my life whenever you want, just msg me and I will be here

  • THis show was Travolta's big break. Following the show he got a part in Carrie, then went on to star in Saturday Night Fever and the following year Grease. After Grease he did that few other films and by the time the late eighties came he faded away.

Throughtout the early ninities he stared in a few films that did not fare well for him until he played the part of Vincent Vega in Pulp Fiction. Not only did Pulp Fiction help the seventies teen hearthrob make a comeback, he was also nominated.

  • Bring back the 70's Were there were more Love and jobs.

  • Your right I cant stop playing it... Man those days were sweet... My childhood was so blissful ... reality is nothing like I thought things were going to turn out...

    BUT HERE WE ARE

  • My feelings too..

  • totally makes me wanna cry... it feels like all the good stuff has already happened...Man I love those days... Id pay to go back

  • lol, Ron Pallilo (Horshack) is the Acting teacher at my school now! XD

  • What school might that be?

  • G-Star.

  • The school in the opening scene is New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn, my daughter goes there now.

  • Thanks for your comments about the school. its good to know witch school is. I really love this tv show. See ya !!

  • I remember growing up in a small town of 700 and thats all the dogs, cats , cows and whatever included. My brother and I would watch this. he ended up getting a unicycle like the kid on the vid, it was cool as ice to see him on that. The song would make me dream about getting out into the big world one day. GREAT MEMORIES!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lifereigns And did you? Get out into the big world I mean. I hope your dream came true.

  • @lifereigns, This reminds me of when I was a kid in the 70's. This show always came on after, "Three's Company". The 70's was the good old days. Boy I wish I could go back in times.

  • Thanks so much for this!~!! I hate getting this song in my head because I sing or hum it all fuckin' day! Thanks again!

  • Yes, the hook is just classic. I can't help but play over and over. Remember when tv show themes could actually make the top 10 on the billboard charts.

  • brill!

  • that's what i was looking for. they put that song on the first day of school and the whole week!

  • I know the guy on the unicycle. It's shot on Pierrepont St. in the Heights.

  • tell him to put the seat back in before riding it next time

  • good poker player.. :D

  • Damn i still remember the words NICE thanks for posting

  • Welcome Back!

  • Nice quality!
