I didn't see this series but listened to a superb four-part radio adaptation of the novel broadcast on BBC radio some years ago.

Did I completely misread the books or is Esther supposed to look a lot like Lady Dedlock? Cause I really don't see that in this series...

I'm reading Bleak House atm, and I want to finish it before I watch this...I can't wait, it looks so good!

The book is awesome though, I really recommend it!

well it was hard going at first, but afyter a while I really got into it!

Finished now though, and I'm getting the dvds for Xmas! :D

There is no final sequence for the series. I mean, yes, there is an end theme (the same for each episode, except for the finale), but there is no pictorial sequence like the opening.

I completely agree, the music is just magnificent, I can't get the tune out of my head! An amazigly good tv version of the novel, and Lady Dedlock is the best!!! BBC really produce the best films in the world!

I know, it's even kind of haunting! and it's so true that Lady Dedlock is the best:D and I love these BBC series!:) I also love the Tudors btw;)

@lemonsorbet06 totaly true! Lady Dedlock is simply fantastic! I always knew that Gillian Anderson is worth something more than x-files, it's a pity that such a superb dramatic actress spent so much time on that crap (I mean x-files). She should appear more in classical dramas.

Alas, never watched the Tudors - dunno where to get them...
