"I SHALL RETURN.." Douglas MacArthur! xD

    Proud to Pinoy! ~:3

  • aww i like this~ So cute~ makes me want to do a version for Iceland. >3>

  • Would we be a weak country like Italy,France, and ETC. we did get taken over a lot

  • OMG CAN YOU TEACH ME HOW TO SPEAK FILIPINO!

  • "I shall return" OMG SO CUTE xD I really love your Fandub! Wow, what a great language!~

  • Thought when you said

''I shall return'' it was from one of does filipino dramas but after researching it was really General McArthur who said it during the Pacific war >w<.

  • thank you for puting this up :D it ment a lot to me ( i'm philipino and yes i speak the language, and pple there are multipule dialects....)

  • I really enjowed this. I'm happy you made a fan dub of this. I was sort of disappointed that the Philippines didn't show up as a background character for the WW2 bit of hetalia.

  • Ginutom mo aq xD

  • Cute ng boses mo fernes! Talo mo ako~! XD

  • Awesome.

  • LECHON! 8D

  • This Marukaite Chikyuu is the best Filipino fandub I've ever heard. /o/

...you wouldn't mind if I put this in my iPod right? :D

  • If your Filipino then Spain and Japan your brothers?

Kung filipino ka pagkatapos ay Espanya at Japan magkapatid kayo?

  • I lol'd at "I SHALL RETURN!" You're really good! Hahaha, this is my fave Filipino version so far!

I really liked your lyrics, and your voice was good :D

    You're so awesome!!! XD

  • Hahaha, SOOOO CUTE!!! My Fillipino friend has approved as well XD You make her proud!!

  • Most views: JAPAN!! WOOT GALING MO!!!

  • Brilliant! AND in tagalog! ^_^

  • this is why i hate history class >=/ ang sama kasi nang history teacher ko >.<

  • I'm now hungry I want Lechon now

  • TERMINATOR REFERENCE OH SNAP. 8D /brick'd

I was about to ask on why I could hear Spanish words here and there...but then it has Spain mentioned in the song XD FAIL!

  • @Miepieish

    Lol, sorry to point out another fail, but the "I shall return" part is different from the "I'll be back" part in the Terminator. U.S. General MacArthur actually promised "I shall return" to the Philippines when the Japanese kicked the U.S. out in 1942. ^^;

  • @pisceanchic Yeah, I know xD But it was close enough for me to put it haha!

  • Japan will return? We're SCREWED.

  • @NanatsuYoruXIII Dude, know your history (this comment is a bit embarrassing, even as a joke. XD). That was a quote by Gen. McArthur when the Americans retreated after Japan captured the Philippines. It's a quote known by everyone aware of the history of the Pacific war in WW2.

  • @r3ginasimon I think He meant was that the duologue box was pointing at Japan

  • Comment removed

  • @r3ginasimon no he was meaning about the quotation bubble pointing at Japan that makes it look a bit funny.

I mean who wouldn't laugh at the fact that the quotation bubble coincidentally pointed at Japan with the words "I shall Return" the Irony really you would think "lol, that should be America at Japan's place"

  • YES!!! PINOY PWOER!!!! xD

  • Definitely the most legit I've heard. This is well worth putting in the anime. Great job! 8D bd

  • Hahahaha!~

    I JUST LOVE IT!!! <3

I love the way you were talking about Philipines' history.

I think you'd be an awesome voice actress! ;D

  • Pilipinas ka?

    Ako pilipino. :)

Hihi, btw, so cute. :)) good job!

  • ano nga ba alak natin? diba lambanog?

  • Filipino Filipino Filipino Filipino !!!

  • LOL!!! gusto ko ang kantang ito!

    nakakatuwa~ hihihihi

    XDD wooooooo~

  • Hehe awesome ^-^ Glad to hear other fandubs such as yours. I have to say Its quite nice hearing you sing and as the others say Im proud to be a FILLIPINO ! hoooray :V

. May I ask a question? Can you give me the link to that picture or where you have found it >.< sorry if Im causing a bit of trouble.

  • i love this!!

    Proud to be Pilipino!!!

  • nge...ung isa tinapayn dito naman alak...wew...meron kayang official...galing sakin...kwek kwek un eh!

  • Ugh, I wish my mom had taught us Tagalog when we were kids. It sounds like FUN to talk in Tagalog XD Even if I couldn't understand I really liked it! I'll have to get my Onee-chama to translate it for me later.

And I realy hope the Philippines is a girl, it just seems better that way to me, plus, one of the first presidents was a woman I believe...

  • WHY SO CUTE, PHILIPPINES.

LSS na ako sa "Si Tatay España nakikipaginuman."

  • YEAH!!! FILLIPINO PRIDE!!!

  • cute nmn ni Philippines-tan~

WAG KA NANG BUMALIK SPAIN!!!!!! BAKA MARAPE NANAMAN KAMI!!!! GAGO!!!!!

  • Ito ay maganda .. Ako ay Filipino ~

  • Still laughing. "I shall return."

    Love you Philippines!

  • AI SHALL RUTURN.

    [insert stamp of approval here]

  • yay! ang galing! hahah!

  • taphaaw @_@

  • kayata sa boang palahobog

  • I love this! :D Galing talaga ng voice mo! :) I don't know if I said it right but, meh. Hehe, I'm a Filipina, too!

I really wish there was a Philippines in Hetalia...

  • Si Tatay Espanya nakikipaginuman" <-- daddy Antonio? and mommy Romano, maybe? XD *tomato'd*

"Si Kuya Amerika ako ay iniwanan

    Nang makitang bandera ni Hapon

KUYA KAILAN KA BABABLIK!?!?!" <--- LMFAO

    this video is WIN

  • YAY PHILIPPINES

  • yaaa Philippines!!!!! XD

  • too bad that the "maid sketch" is actually Vietnam with an alternate hairstyle. still hoping for Philippines though. GO PHILIPPINES!

  • Nice job. I think it would be nice to hear it in Japanese like the others, but even so, I really like this. Nice work.

  • @shikamarusgirl17 Ha-ha! This only makes me want to NOT do a Japanese version more (since there are already "others" who did it). Again, my purpose for fandubs... if the piece you're working on is already not the original, why make it more unoriginal by doing the same thing other people are doing. I say make your own creative unique spin. If I wanted to see something similar to the original, I would prefer to watch the original.

  • @r3ginasimon Well I can understand your reasoning. I only think people would like to hear your voice as much as possible because it really is nice.

  • wow ^w^ !! ako hindi na marunong mag filippino (my parents are Philippine and i... italian)

  • @Koichiri haha I admire you admitting one of your parents is Italian... XD (But I'm sure they're not useless. XD)

  • Pero okay lang nangako siya ng:

    I SHALL RETURN!

Totally cracked up at that one! XDD

  • ... it would be incredible if this became canon. because

-i've almost always imagined the Philippines to be a girl (it's called *Las Filipinas* which would make it a feminine noun in Spanish and... eh actually there's no reason XD)

-you did extremely well w/ the lyrics and making them fit w/ the song

    -"I SHALL RETURN"

-Mabuhay ang Filipinas! (i'm not a fluent speaker so this probably isn't correct...)

  • LMAO! this is so awsome! PINOY PRIDE!

and yeah, there should be an actual Philippine Marukaite Chikyuu

  • wow..I got all this hairs stand up! but in a good way LOL.

  • aww it's adorable!!! i like the part where Philippines said that she'll wait for Kuya America~ ahahaha...

  • Best fandub I've heard!! :D I actually "accidentally" memorize the "Si papa Espana nakikipag-inuman..." part... and I was laughing to tidbits after that XDD

Best version ever. You sing so great ate~ (BTW, I wish the cover would have been a fan-made Philippines at least since, you were singing about her XD) Other than that, wonderful... and your Filipino is marvelous~ (I'm not into too deep tagalog... just the usual one)

I hope to see more from you and to see a Philippines in APH!

  • LECHOONNN!! xDD

  • Ang cute! Love it!

Makes me wanna brush up on my Tagalog.

    ~Kn~

  • Hetalia is truly a smart series.

  • LOL! You should just sing it in Japanese since other countries sang it in Japanese too. As far as what I've heard, I don't have any complains with the food (yeah, the longganisa) and the wine.. LOL, I think .. :))

"Mukashi ni tabeta, Longganisa no (LMAO)

    ano aji ga wasurerarenainda.."

Hmm, whatever! Im still hoping for an official Philippine Marukaite Chikyuu....

  • @helloneesancute No thank you! I'm proud of the Filipino language (even though I can just speak colloquial Filipino). ^__^. Besides some of the jokes in the song will get lost in translation.

  • Comment removed

  • You rock. :) Also, thank you for singing on key.

  • Ah! Ate, ang ganda ng boses mo. :3

  • Magaling! Ikaw WIN THE INTERNET

  • ok... when the first line "hoy hoy papa, gusto ko ng alak" , it's a good thing it stoppped buffering since i lmao... XDDDDD

omg... this is epic... i wont dare!!! press the play button... i'm a bit scared..

    *plays*

    aaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!

  • oooh ayus to a

  • LOL

    "I shall return!"

C McArthur ba ang nagsabi ito in real life? Hindi ko sure. if hindi, sino?

  • Ang kyut naman! XD

  • Ang kyuut~

One of the best versions I've heard. I also love the history bits you put in so awesome.

  • 1:40-1-56 ang cute~~~~!!!!!XD isa sa pinaka magandang Philippines Fandub na narinig ko :)

  • The filipino Natives were ground into dogmeat by Japanese marines during their world war 2 naval campaign in the Pacific Islands.

  • yay go pinoy!!!!!! only if she/we got more screen time.........(3 (dat'd be a dream come true)

  • Comment removed

  • I've been listening to this sooo much! Can you convert this into an MP3 .. please? >:3

  • I LOVE YOU <3

  • Hands down the best version of Marukaite Chikyuu Tagalog EVER!!

  • "I shall return" lol, yay Philippines

  • Funny trivia but lechon originated in China. xD But still...it's so common it's almost like ours. ^^

Good job on this! Makes me so proud to be a Filipino! Hehe~

((And I must also express my gratitude to these other people who commented for providing wonderful info. ^^))

...I don't care if Philippines was that maid in ep 1! >=] As long as we got screen time, I'm happy! ((Then if it wasn't us...))

  • So...the Spain maid is Philippines? I saw she in the first 6 seconds of the ep 1.

  • I asked about this in one of the forums. Someone debunked it, stating that in Himaruya's blog he said that the maid in Ep. 1 is human (not a country). Of course, the chibi sketch in the maid costume is still speculation.

  • by the chibi sketch, you mean the one holding a bamboo pole with the grouchy expression..?

(can you give me the link to the forum, I wanna check it out)

    =D

  • Ah, so there is no Philippines? I mean, then Himaruya has never shown this country ... Returning to the subject, the author still must to devise this character and putting it in the anime, no?. I am looking for more possible information to find out more about this country ... that would be my country of birth. But now i'm in Italy and i'm still watching the anime in italian subtitles beacuse i don't understand english very well. Hehehe. I wait for more info. T_T [ Sorry, my english sucks. ]

  • WAIT. So talaga bang character na si Philly-tan? Nalilito na ako.

  • heheh, for now, like thailand, mongolia & tibet, are extras..

Wait, please until March 2010 or so..

  • full name ni philippines is Maria Clara (then family name ni Spain) Philippines is a girl and philippines was in world con @ APH ep 1 she was the maid and she is beside spain serving him a drink. too bad she wasn't labeled her name bka daw mglit ang mga filipino sa position nya doon (maid) according to hirumaya, he did it that way for we have been colonized be spain and he expressed it that way. (this is all according to hirumaya hidekaz) thats all for our beloved Philippines news in APH

  • Go Aph Philippines! XD

  • Comment removed

  • that is hands down

the best Filipino version i've heard at all

    hahaha

and it's awesome cause the Philippines is suppose to be a girl (so i've heard.....bad Filipino..doesn't even know T_T)

the other one i saw was a guy

    but both are good

    but i lile your better

    Pinay power!!!

    you sing awesome ^_^

  • Hey, isn't Philippines's Nickname "Pearl of the Orient"?

I would really die laughin if "Pinas" turns out to be a guy! Mabuhay~!♥

  • XD

    i know

it'd be pretty funny if they made it a guy

  • But, it's already official that Philippines a girl~ *yup-yup*

    And so is Vietnam..

You wanna know about the new countries?

    =)

  • This song is full of WIN. I like how the lyrics "I shall return." is in a Filipino accent. :P

  • "i shall return"! soo much 4 our history! XD sana ang alak nlng lambanog at ang food ay adobo

  • Haha! That MacArthur dude said it right? Before he went to Australia? :))

  • ah~ so cute~ zeh lyrics ish touching~

    -heartz-

  • YEAH! Go Pinoy pride! 8'D

  • haha..this is cool!!!!!I hope you'll make vids. about Ivan Braginski

  • i think you should've changed wine to milo or ovaltine...but that's just me :D

  • COOL! I always wanted to sing a Philippines version of this song (but I have an accent which makes it hard for me) -_-''' Cool translation though! xDD

  • I'd hate to be a doucher douchington, but the original ending(s) are sung in japanese with horiffic stereotypes of other countries... try singing it in russian next time.

  • Why would I want to sing it in Russian? I'm Filipino. And the stuff mentioned in the lyrics are Filipino stereotypes with a touch of truth.

  • I sang in tagalog because this is a Filipino Fandub (not a Japanese Fandub) and Filipinos are also notorious alcoholics since we were under Spain's care for more than 300 years. Though maybe I should have said tuba (a local Filipino coconut wine) instead of plain wine...

  • hahaha pare, sana lambanog ginamit mo! as one filipino story goes, "Us filipinos are mild drinkers: we drink when we're happy, we drink when we're sad, and we drink for every other occassions" :)

  • oi! lesson nmn nyan ngayon! XD

  • Then whats the use in 'fan'dubing? :/

  • Cute!! This dub makes me want to learn my mother tongue! = w =

  • i srsly can't imagine Spain as philippines' dad or america as the big brother....I mean, Filipinos were enslaved by spaniards and america sort of just moved in cause it was a good outpost near japan...

  • Hmmm... in the POV of the conquered, it's not the same. The Philippines was a Spanish colony for 300 years. While there was always a strong yearning for freedom, 300 years is a very long time to exert influence. Except for Mindanao (which Spain was unsuccessful in colonizing), the Philippines shares a lot of Spanish/European values and beliefs. Eventhough Catholicism is the "brand" that identifies our slavery, Filipinos cling on to it with great pride.

  • It's undeniable that Filipino mentality (both good and bad traits) are greatly influenced by Spain.

When Spain lost its war with America, the Philippines was on of the countries sold to America and it became a "protectorate" (American Imperialism-ism for "colony" or "spoil of war") and launched a very successful propaganda movement to make Filipinos believe in the greatness of the US of A.

  • I know a lot of Filipinos who still worship the ground that Americans walk on and would even deny the atrocities that the Americans did to Filipinos during the short lived Philippine-American War (nicknamed by modern American scholars as "The First Vietnam") happened.

  • The Philippines was taken by America, not just because of its location in the map, but like the Span, pillaged natural resources and used us as a one of their third world consumers.

The social illness that Michael Moore described in "Capitalism" was not just within American borders. For example, during the Marcos Administration... a great number of American companies benefited from Marcos' ill-gotten wealth.

  • Of course, the irony of ironies... that in WW2, even though Japan was so horrible to us (they they were awful! There was no denying that!), they were the only conqueror who did not impose their culture on the Philippines like Spain and the US did.

  • Even though it was really an attempt to erase western ideals in the Philippine mentality, Japan's encouragement to return to our roots sparked a great sense of patriotic identity. And in fact, WW2 Philippines under the Japanese rule was considered as "The Golden Age of Philippine Arts and Literature".

  • XD oohhh theres another irony, I actually like japanese culture and to hear that japan didn't impose their culture on the Philippines makes me feel somewhat...ehh. Yung parang, "Ay! Sayang naman!" gets mo? weird I know. so once again XD

  • Ha-ha! You also have to realize that today's mentality was different from WW2. Back when my best friend and I were heavily into anime back in school... when her dad found out about it, he was furious! His reasoning was, "Bakit ka nanonood niyan? Hindi mo ba alam kung ano ang ginawa ng mga demonyong Hapon na yan sa Lolo mo?"

Here's the greatest irony of all... My best friend, later on married a 3rd-Generation Japanese-Canadian. ^_^.

  • Yeah, *nods* I get what you're saying. My mom (XD american spelling) born and bred in Philippines think that America has everything and that they're awesome. Practically the only reason she wants to go live there, I believe.

  • I, unfortunately, have to agree with your last sentence. Although, I'm hoping that sometime in the future, it won't always be like that. I mean, it's not that I have something against catholics; it's just almost all Filipinos seem to be of the christian faith and when asked or challenged (purely out of curiosity to own questions) they seem to get defensive. At least, those I've been in contact with. AKA family.

  • Again, it's the influence of heavily ingrained Spanish colonialism. Our ancestors were made to blindly believe in Catholicism to the point that there really was no other way of life. We were also taught to not question it because our soul will burn in hell as a non-believer. I'm lucky that my parents are liberal. I think if I grew up in the Philippines and not in Canada, I would have that same mentality. My grandmother continues to pray for my soul though...

  • I consider myself fortunate and unfortunate at the same time, being a Filipino-Canadian. Fortunate because my Filipino background makes me feel rich in my heritage... unfortunate, because I do find myself battling against the traditional values my parents tried to raise me in because my Canadian side/thinking can't reconcile with it. I still think I'm Filipino... but I feel sad and frustrated sometimes that I can't relate to my Filipino-ness...

  • GALING!!

I can't wait until Philippines is actually shown in the anime :D

  • if you happen to catch the ep, would you please tell me? :'< im currently behind on all hetalia eps. -sigh-

  • kuya america n papa spain XD

kase nangako siya ng "I SHALL RETURN" kaya kuya, hihintay ako!!

    haha galing~! XD

  • This is amazing! When the annotaions popped up, I imediately tried to kareoke with it. XD;

You should have a download link. :D

  • Love this!! <3

  • Ang galing!

  • I kinda' wish there was a translation o.o I mean, from the other comments here, it sounds really cool/awesome. D:

Anyways, I love your singing. It sounds so funny compared to English but the um, how to say it- flow? The flow of the words is really cool. :D

  • Did you turn on the annotations? xD

  • Frik I didn't think of that. XD! Sorry lol. *watches again*

  • D'awe.

I wish the Philippines was a character in Hetalia. I can imagine Spain and America babying the little Pacific Island country. :3

I'm Filipino, yet I don't speak or ever understand the language. [Just understand a smidge. JUST A LITTLE.]

This was one of the best versions out thurr!

  • Wonderful interpretation. You really ARE Philippines ! My favorites parts are "Gumuhit ng bilog, at 'yan ang mundo" and the talking part (I shall return lol). The Philippines must be a marvelous country. Au revoir !

  • (Hey, another Filipina with the same situation! I was born/raised there too and I completely suck with it because I FORGOT EVERYTHING DX)

Anyway... BEST FILIPINO VERSION I'VE HEARD.

Ang cute ng voice mo XD
