@lapetiteombre - Olivier also says in his biography that after meeting Marilyn the first time he was head over heels, in the way he was when he first met his wife Vivien Leigh, and felt very sorry for his wife because he felt something was goingto happen. So, maybe an element of sour grapes too...
@lapetiteombre Oh yes I know. It was said That Laurence was jealous of her and wanted to be in control. This was her movie and Milton Greenes but who knows why truly he hated her. Marilyn was quite difficult to get along with on the movie set because lack of coming on to the set lol. She always kept everyone waiting.

Especially those that demonstrate possessive traits stemming from insecurity. Despite her perfection this beauty, was such a perfectionist, that fed her own insecurities & some people did not like being "made to wait" like it was primadona game; likely they'd not have been sympathetic to truth anyway.

Marilyn is just perfect in front of the camera. A true love affair that continues to this day and thank God we all get to witness it. :)

1:55--I always think of Marilyn as someone who would be easy to get along with. Laurence Olivier HATED her, and the feeling was mutual. So strange.
