I absolutely love this song, and the bass must be fun to play in real life, but I honestly don't think that it's that much fun to play in RB. It's just triplets, which aren't really that hard.
Yeah it's the same repeating rhythm over and over, I'll agree to that. It's actually a good way to practice your alt strumming, and your endurance. You need a lot of it to do really good on this song.
@TheInhumanSpleen They aren't triplets. The end of the intro has triplets, but the rhythm you're talking about is an eighth note followed by two sixteenth notes (repeated, of course)
down right amazing. did you do this all with upstrokes? if not you should try, and if you can do that you should buy a cheap bass (like, 75 from a pawn shop)
Sorry to say that I can't say I did this with all up strums :(. Just FYI, if someone does a bass song with only upstrums, at the end it'll say "Authentic Strummer". And I did think about getting a cheap bass, but my dad already has 4 guitars and I have my drum set so...Maybe I will someday haha =P
I can imagine how much fun this is on real bass man! =P I recently learned Hysteria on real bass and it's amazingly fun I must say. It's one of the best bass lines ever imo.

Good point. Another great one for endurance is in GH3... The Way It Ends. Extremely fast strumming in a 1 5 5 3 5 5 3 etc. pattern. Amazing =)
