However, he could be involved in certain areas of research, but that would have to be funded, and many universities don't find this scientifically feasible.

Please don't think I am opposed to further research within this field. On the contrary, I would love to see as much research as possible done on any paranormal claim.

The first red flag that stands out is that he is in private practice. If his research was so strongly supported he would be at a reputable university. I believe that you two should at least read Many Lives Many Masters to form your own opinion about his works before you continue to criticize that which you know little to nothing about. It is not a long book and it can be completed in a couple of sittings.
Why would I waste my time, and support him, by reading this book. I can see his views from interviews and his personal writings. If you want to learn actual information try visiting a well respected peer-reviewed journal. Guys like this go straight to the public to make a buck. Funny how they avoid the scientific community. I'm readinng Brian Weiss's book Many Lives, Many Masters, which is his story of his first case of past life regression that he performed on his young 20-something year old patient Catherine. Its some fasinating to read. Its fasinating what Catherine reveals both in her past live but also the knowledge that is communicated through her from Masters on the other side. Its amazing you guys should read. I so want to do a past life regression session with a hypnotist now.

Many years ago I had the opportunity to learn something about spirituality and what Alan Kardec (and many others) wrote about it, and when I read the first book of Dr. Weiss "Many lives, Many Masters", I was sure that more and more people are looking for the answers for many questions. I met Dr. Weiss in a workshop, and I know how important is his work with his pacients.
I wasn't convinced by Dr. Weiss's books. I remember calling his "Masters'" teachings etereal syrup, a plastic spirituality. The highest maxims of the masters rise no higer than common sense. That's how it seemed to me, though I'm more charmed by Dr. Weiss now, as a speaker, than I was from reading him (You can't tell from words on a page if the author is sincere). I will be grateful for the extended video, which might persuade me furter.

i had a deep fear of the sea and found out i drowned in a shipwreck during a storm..
i found out many of my friends had the same fears and we realized we were all on the same boat
knowing this helped me release it and get over the fear.
Fear of Knives is a common one.. and throat issues relate to being beheaded, strangled, hung.. . ppl dont know how much this affects yr current life.

In the case that somebody could probe that regression to a past life is real, many people will not believe it.
Same case on the other hand, if somebody demonstrate that it is not real, still many people will not believe it.
So the important thing is what you believe and what you can gain from your beliefs.

I do agree with you about the lack of evidance, and I believe it will never be scientifically accepted.
Nevertheless, sometimes faith is needed for a scientific phenomena; just as Einstein needed faith in the 1930's.
However, yes, it's hard to believe, and even myself sometimes cannot believe it because I tend to be a very fact driven skeptic.
As long as you support research, that makes me happy. I would not ask for any more.

I have a Ph.D in Cognitive Neuroscience.
I specialize in the area of perception.
There is no "proof" of this so called consciousness. However, sometimes faith is an aspect of human life.
Hypnosis, telekinesis, and other forms of parapsychology, so far, do have more than an aberrant amount of proof.
We can look at: Synaethesia, Dreaming, Intuition, and feelings and get a common value of how we use unconscious vibrations in everyday life.

Please go read his book: Many Lives, Many Masters. It opened my eye and heart to a lot of things. Hence got addicted to his subsequent books which I have learned a lot more as well. Cheers.

Many years ago I had the opportunity to learn something about spirituality and what Alan Kardec (and many others) wrote about it, and when I read the first book of Dr. Weiss "Many lives, Many Masters", I was sure that more and more people are looking for the answers for many questions. I met Dr. Weiss in a workshop, and I know how important is his work with his pacients.

I wasn't convinced by Dr. Weiss's books. I remember calling his "Masters'" teachings etereal syrup, a plastic spirituality. The highest maxims of the masters rise no higer than common sense. That's how it seemed to me, though I'm more charmed by Dr. Weiss now, as a speaker, than I was from reading him (You can't tell from words on a page if the author is sincere). I will be grateful for the extended video, which might persuade me furter.
