@jasmaxwell77 actually Silvestri is still very actively scoring movies. It was a scheduling conflict with scoring The A-Team that kept him from doing Predators. But frankly, we got a great Predators score from Debney and a great A-Team score from Silvestri, so it's sort of win-win.

They felt they wanted to maintain the original theme, but make it sound newer by getting a different composer. Obviously they never bothered to check out all of Silvestri's work.

Still Debney did a VERY good job. I enjoyed the score.

I love the part that starts at 1:35. The music sounds a lot like the scene in the first Predator movie right after Mac kills the wild boar and they go searching for Anna because they think she's trying to escape. Then Arnold and his crew realize that Blain's body was taken and Dillon (Carl Weathers) gives the most pricelss look.

Didnt feel that since Predator 2, but no movie was able to match the first! Lets see now if Predators will finaly give us that unique experience again!

@RIDDICK0911 no it's a sequel. it's set in exactly the same universe. i've read the script too, i hope to god they don't use that ending. the point is, this is a new predator movie, they will use some of the old cues from the original predator theme, and that's awesome and shows the makers of this new movie respect the original. instead of the idiots who made the avp movies.

Like I said, eventually the music in the film almost does not match with mood of the video. Also hard to understand what new we have to hear apart from a familiar tune of old Silvestri's tracks... Incidentally, the film itself did not contribute to creating an interesting music, because instead of the novelty and quality, he should play on a sense of nostalgia.
