It depends what you are doing, Ak is better for the Taliban dude cot it's cheap and theres lots in Iraq left by the Russians. By then again the Ak is less accurate, has more recoil, and has less stopping power at close range than an MP5 (mp5 is a submachinegun, not assault rifle). Also, the Ak fires slower, a disadvantage in close combat, compared to say an m16 (fires twice as fast) or a mac-11 (about 30% faster than m16). But

Inaccurate, may be it is just your inexperience: Iron sight is hard to aim.
Bullet may be the reason AK-47 inaccurate when shoot at long range. It is bigger than M16 bullet so its ballistic is more influence by environment.
However, this is NOT Sniper rifle, it IS assault rifle. This inaccuracy is nothing when it come to CQC in urban and jungle areas.
Moreover, bigger bullet means bigger damage. Aim carefully and you have an easy confirmed kill. No one want to be killed by someone you though you killed him turn out to alive because the wound is not fatal enough.

When you use AK, aim for the neck or chest. 2 round burst is easy to get a headshot.

@CrosseyedPwnzy AK-47 is extremely reliable. If you need to chose a gun to accompany with you to an unknown place. Will you chose a so-so gun can fire in ANY condition OR a gun that ... very great like M4 or P90 but you never know when it stop firing and its remarkable service record is 90% can't firing in wet atmosphere with LOTS of jamming that leave you sited duck in middle of gunfire?
Inaccurate, may be it is just your inexperience: Iron sight is hard to aim.

Bullet may be the reason AK-47 inaccurate when shoot at long range. It is bigger than M16 bullet so its ballistic is more influence by environment.
However, this is NOT Sniper rifle, it IS assault rifle. This inaccuracy is nothing when it come to CQC in urban and jungle areas.
Moreover, bigger bullet means bigger damage. Aim carefully and you have an easy confirmed kill. No one want to be killed by someone you though you killed him turn out to alive because the wound is not fatal enough.

@CrosseyedPwnzy It can be mass produced easily, it hits hard, and if you know how to handle a rifle, the AK-47 will perform well. That being said, it was never intended as a precision rifle.

Ak 47 is better for dirty places because you don t have to clean it very often , and in war that s good because there you don t have time to clean it every day . And as you sad its cheap that s one more + they can make more ak s than m4 for same money .But yes m4 is more accurate and that s true , and another + for m4 is because its bulled dose not shake your rifle as hard as russian bullet but dose same job (kill) .(sry bad eng) :)

i like the game but the first missions are pretty boring.. i like to play with door entries.. i always let them go to the door and then take cover and aim with sniper at door.. then do open&clear and give my homies sniper backup :P VERY COOL TO PLAY :D
