Second, I don't believe nor did I say that the world would end in 2012. When I said "end" in my comment above, I meant the end of the calendar (I should have been more specific). And the Mayans didn't say the world would end either just the world as we know it. They said that it would be the end of this cycle and the beginning of the next cycle. They also didn't say that it would be the end of humans either.
Furthermore, the Mayans nor I said anything about Planet X (Nibiru) nor do I believe it exists (Although I'm open to the idea). Third, there are many theories about how the apocalypse will happen in 2012.. not just Planet X. Just because Planet X doesn't exist doesn't mean the apocalypse won't happen.
Fourth, I don't think anyone is making any serious money off this (since most people don't take it seriously) and I'm pretty damn sure the Mayans, Nostradamus, and Edgar Cayce weren't trying to make money off of their predictions and if they were, they surely didn't get any. Third, there are many theories about how the apocalypse will happen in 2012.. not just Planet X. Just because Planet X doesn't exist doesn't mean the apocalypse won't happen.

Fourth, I don't think anyone is making any serious money off this (since most people don't take it seriously) and I'm pretty damn sure the Mayans, Nostradamus, and Edgar Cayce weren't trying to make money off of their predictions and if they were, they surely didn't get any. Fifth, I was unaware that astronomers could see the future. May I have next weeks Powerball numbers?

@Nightskywayne In case you're wondering, I don't absolutely believe that the apocalypse will happen in 2012 or anytime or that the Mayans and other prophets were correct. I do, however, find it intriguing and, since these theories were made so many years ago, find it very exciting as well.

I never said it would happen for certain, just that it's a real possibility that the other guy was denying with false logic. And we actually have no idea what happened to them, they just seem to have disappeared. Maybe you don't think they were intelligent but they did have extremely advanced knowledge of astronomy.
