  • At 2:08 I can see how his right hand slips into the fluffy white thing in his shirt to grab the bird. It only makes it even more impressive because these tricks require execution. I still have no idea how he hides the freakin thing in his hand so long while he's twirling the napkin.

  • @davidshi123 This is totally sick! Wowww!

  • You said, quote: "I have been a magician for the past 38 years". You are not a magician, magic isn't real, it's so obvious that it's all just computers!

  • @DarthHater100 its so obvious that its all just computers? then why dont you do it? you have a computer at your house.. and also explain to me how this utilizes computers?

  • @DarthHater100 You have to be daft to think that this trick has ANYTHING at all to do with computers, I'm sorry. Lance Burton has been doing this act since the 70s... it's all just practice and sleight of hand. Go watch a live magic show before you make such an ignorant comment.

  • @5ilverhalo YOU are the one who is ignorant. Magic is not real, no matter how much you practice. So I guess you think Harry Potter is real too. Grow up!

And even if he did do his act in the 70s, he must have been using some sort of robotic or mechanical birds with batteries, but no one uses those any more. Now (and in this video) it is all done with computers. MAGIC ISN"T REAL.

  • @DarthHater100 Are you freaking serious? :/ Nobody said this was magic... it's an illusion, a "trick" - sleight of hand and hidden pockets and a LOT of practice. He has to perform this live in front of judges; the video isn't edited. He's just a very talented ilusionist - as in, one who creates illusions that look like magic to the audience.

  • @DarthHater100 darthhater is an internet troll that also goes by the name shockofgod he says magic isn't real yet thinks a talking snake and zombies and global floods are real.and that telling an invisible man that you love him (telepathically) will make it so you live forever.

  • @alltiedup217 You are the one who is a troll and you have no proof I'm SOG. Why would someone go around Youtube saying stuff just to make people mad? And BTW, God is not magic. Magic isn't real. You could say the same thing about evolution. Magic isn't real, but supposedly monkeys magically became people. The fact is, there is no proof and evidence that atheism is accurate and correct, so no matter how hard a mental-midget like yourself tries, you can never win that fight.

  • @DarthHater100 provide proof and evidence that is accurate and correct that you are not shockofgod still waiting.....

  • @5ilverhalo Grow up, kid. Just grow up...

  • He is a very wonderful artist! Lance Burton 4ever!!!

  • i bet this guy could finger a woman into a coma

  • my first magic set was a lance burton

  • @eastcstsrfr Me to. But instead of doves I used butterflies. try to watch PILIPINAS GOT TALENT - AMAZING BUTTERFLY ACT by ALLAN "ALAKIM" de PAZ he is the 1st magician who used butterfly in stage magic.

  • @violiniztapianizta watch?v=xrRzcYoO5ns yan po yung link .... ^_^

  • @kj91gorre yup salamat alam ko.

  • is this live from FISM ?

  • i guess the 3 dislikes are from the doves?

    cas ... Lance's the best!!!!

  • wow!

  • Excellent performance Lance!

  • Those are computer generated birds

  • @DarthHater100 You have got to be joking. You can't be that stupid can you?

  • @RS1963 It's so obvious it's just computer generated special effects. He can't fool ME.

  • @DarthHater100 You obviously have no idea how old this video of Lance is do you? It is from the very early 80's There is no computer generated images on this video or any other at that time. You also obviously have never seen a magician perform live before.

  • @RS1963 You are trying to tell me they didn't have computers in the 1980s? You're a moron, of course they did. Live magicians obviously use computer projected holograms of some sort. MAGIC ISN'T REAL. What are you, like 5 years old?

  • @DarthHater100 You are the moron. The point is those are real doves. You have no idea what you are talking about. Plus I have been a magician for the past 38 years. You on the other hand haven't even been try behind he ears for two weeks as of this date. So any other really asinine responses you want to make?

  • @RS1963 So you think magic is real and you are a real magician with magical powers? Ok Merlin--coo, coo. I think you've been living in a land of make-believe for the past 38 years. Nobody has magical powers, it's all computers and holograms like in the movies. Even my son knows that it's all a show and not real. You have to be frickin' RETARDED not to see that. BTW, what does "haven't even been try behind he ears" mean?

  • @DarthHater100 Did I say that? No. But obviously from this post and the one before, you obviously enjoy reading things into others post that aren't there or implied. That was a typo by the way. It should have been "You haven't even been dry behind the ears for two weeks. If you don't understand that oh well.

  • Respond to this video.. B.T.W. name one magician you have seen live that uses holograms. Just one. I'm sure if you even try you will be sadly mistaken. Of course there is no such thing as real magic. But magicians do not use what you think they do. That is as long as they aren't either David Blaine or Criss Angel. Those two are the ones that do in fact resort to such trickery on television.

  • @DarthHater100 It's not computers and holograms... It's distraction, sleight of hand, hidden pockets, and very well-trained doves. The doves are hidden under his clothes in various pockets - this is a high-skill trick that takes years of practice to perform so smoothly.

  • @5ilverhalo That's stupid. Why would he go through all the trouble of hidden pockets and training doves and years of practice when he can just use a robotic bird or use computer graphics. Nobody does special effects in movies with hidden pockets. Its all computers and animatronics. You sir, need an education. Besides, you can tell just from looking at it that it's just a computer trick. It's so OBVIOUS. What are you, blind? It's some of the worst CGI I've ever seen.

  • @DarthHater100 Yes, CGI is always used in movies. But this isn't a Hollywood movie and Lance Burton is not an actor. He's a highly skilled illusionist who's been tweaking this act for years - look him up on Wikipedia. He won the "Grand Prix" award with this dove act, with a LIVE performance in front of a panel of judges. He used to perform this act live at the Monte Carlo in LA as well.

  • @DarthHater100 Argh, I feel dumb for arguing with someone like you. Next time, just do a tiny bit of research before you write it off as "computers and animatronics." Illusionists have been around for years... they use mirrors, sleight of hand, trap doors, hidden pockets, etc... they've been around before TV and video even existed. Just go look it up, discussion over.

  • @DarthHater100 You are an idiot. Have you ever even seen a magician live? I doubt you have even left your mother's house very much in all the years you have been alive. Your type is what makes the internet suck. Why? Because you don't care that you are worse than a moron. You more than likely are lazy don't work, and are sponging off of the taxpayers in whatever country that you live in.

  • hes awesome, but, you could see the black dove bag in the newspaper at the end

  • This is a good routine but if anyone wants me to expose it i can.

  • @heelfan1234

Most magicians already know it, (or could,) and they gave it the award.

I hardly see what good knowing it does in watching it.

He isn't trying to scam people; it's entertainment.

  • @Jorbz150 I didn't say anything about scamming, and I think it is good to expose things to help new magicians on You Tube. And do you know what... Lance wouldn't mind a bit... email him and ask him if you don't believe me.

  • @heelfan1234 But what about people who aren't interested in performing magic?

What if they are just tempted to read the explanations?

  • IN MAGIC CASTLE,...

  • this is "real" ART of MAGIC, well done LANCE...THE BEST IN THE WORLD...JORGELISBOA

  • Wow! Incredible performance!

  • I know how he does this but still fantastic sleight of hand! and very very clever

  • Lance is ok. I mean he is just another dove guy.

  • @SuperMagicRay Lance is not just another dove guy. He's THE dove guy

  • This is just so cool and well done,,, this is magic as an art, ,, ,,not just a bunch of cheap tricks like so many others do.... Lance,, you are the coolest guy in magic...

  • JESUS CHRIST....that dove magic and whole preformance infact was just so beutiful, talk about magic being an art

  • it's amazing!!!

  • my mind just exploded

  • wow, that guy was a legend thousand times better then criss angel

  • This is where Lance is the best doing manipulation and the doves.

  • Classic stuff!

  • @jdmitchell2 explain then xD

  • That's right kolega, I hate those pametnjakovici too XD

  • @stefobl

This is when he was doing what he does best. . He is still classic, but he ha gone a bit awry.

  • I am speechless !

  • Big NO Cigs!!!!!!!

  • it is not a fism act. but it is nice :)

  • this isn't a FISM act per se but it is the same performance that won him a FISM award.

  • What a pro!!!!!

  • I wish I could get my hair like that

  • This looks like it was shot at the "Hacienda" in Las Vegas, his showroom before the Monte Carlo. Very classy act, Lance is unlike any other performer - you leave his show feeling like you now saw a "real" magician.

  • Lance is the real deal. when you go see him, you learn what real magic is.

  • lmfao

  • Wow this coming from danhenryt who we really know who absolutely has no social life except making stupid comments on youtube. My guess is your purely jealous of Lance Burton because he can do great magic and you can't do anything except making others feel just like you. Which is miserable.

  • look at his eyes.

  • that is one classy, handsome devil.

  • TOTALE

  • The purple gloves are so awesome! =D Wish I could see him perform in real life.

  • saw him perform on August 12th, he puts on an AWESOME show

  • Man the trick is not so special , the performance is what makes it so outstanding.

  • Vegas

  • did you watch him recently ? how much is the ticket ?

  • I saw him 20 years ago I loved him where can i watch him now ?

  • The Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Home of the Lance Burton Theater.

  • thanks, is he doing doves again ?

  • As far as I know he's never stopped with the doves. I'm pretty sure he even shows this very performance in his show still, along with a few new dove routines.

  • I showed this video to a friend, and then we clicked on a Jeff McBride video (neither of us had ever heard of or seen McBride). Lance made watching McBride an even bigger let-down than watching McBride alone.

To the person who said it's not Burton's magic that's impressive, but rather his charisma, that is certainly a part of it. McBride has a lot of "Holy crap, I'm amazing" on his face. Burton is, "relax and enjoy this."

  • @Schattenbolt ummm wow I think you completely missed Jeff's performance. He is just as artful as Lance, but they both have completely different styles.

  • your a jerk!!

  • That is amazing... At around 2:20, I saw him disappear the candle, but I have no idea where the birg comes from...

Knowing where the candle went just makes it seem more impossible, because of the others and the birds...

  • The birds are possibly the easiest to explain funnily enough, the candles are so well done its hard to see where he gets them from

  • That is what makes this act to great. Each individual illusion is, in theory, not hard, but the seamless sequence and beautiful execution, makes it beyond compare.

  • @mobytoss The birds are quite easy. Just standard loads in cloth pockets from the body and the jacket. Really well done though. In case you don't know, doves compress up really much smaller than you'd think. Live spring feathers!

The candles are variations on the vanishing/appearing cane. Spring steel which starts compressed small and expands into a tube in the flash of an eye.

  • I watched lances act one week ago.. and the guy is still amazing!!! I had to go after seeing criss angels bad magic show.. Thank you so much lance you are the best!!

  • its erfect

  • whats's the name of that music for this video

  • The four seasons by Vivaldi

  • That's the best magic video on youtube!

  • that glove tuning into a dove mid air was simply awesome!!! most magicians turn side ways, but he did it without hiding that right hand even once!!! awesome stuff!

  • uhm - yeah, after DECADES of practise, maybe, but the laymen is just left in bewilderment, amusement, and joy with this spectacular performance. It's so good, that it seems disturbing. Watching this devaluates Copperfield dramatically, IMHO. Even tho a comparison might seem foolish, but looking back on Copperfield's haydays, they somehow do not evoke the same amazement as such a trickery by Burton does. Copperfield was a magician on a playground, whilest Burton and alike were its constructors.

  • @Bricksmith deep... and so true.

  • @Bricksmith Not to mention that Copperfield brags.

  • You are best..Great show.Amazing

  • I guess about your inteligence...

  • Irony: Misspelling the word "intelligence" when commenting about someone else's.

  • AMAZING!!

  • ME TOO

  • i never get bored with this act

  • amazing

  • It doesn't matter how many times I see Burton perform this act, it is always amazing.

  • i hate people who do magic with birds its so fucking unbelievable....stop bein so dam good at magic Lance!!!!!!!!!! lol

  • left unfinished

  • like ur brain

  • What's with his eyes?

  • reckon. he looks stoned

  • I know their sorta creppy, but the act is still awsome!!!
