Being an apologetic means taking the existence of god for granted & then trying to find reasons to support that concept.
Scientifically/intellectually that is dishonest. It is as if I first were to claim that my coffee cup is holy & created the world. I then take that for granted. In a last step I try to find proof. So I can ignore anything that contradicts my 'holy coffee cup' & only collect what suits my a priori assumption.
Any proof to the contrary is willfully ignored. Ignorant!
