I want to point out that the land has more Russian influence than japanese influence. So yeah, not too much japanese stuff there. i'm not trying to flame, i actually enjoy japanese anime very much.

Read your history, most of Japanese culture came from China, their written language, tea, Zen Buddhism, paper, food, architecture, music, martial arts, bonsai (Penjai), all came from China.

Since the Japanese have a FOUND LOVE for Chinese Mythology and Legends and or Styles IE Fushigi Yugi, Mysterous Play , saiunkoku monogatari and Mouryou kiden Legend of the Nymph Chinese Designs for Goddess Mikado. So basically, It should be no shock that such action is reciprocated?
