you know theres been so much people blabbing with " oh you cant save it its a resting site, its gona cost money to raise it, theres legal things that say you cant touch it... ok heres a solution to answer all 3 and help make life easier for you all.. my idea.. is to build a huge mega dome around it and then suck all the water out then put a chemical on it to stop the rust.. after this a glas elevator will be put in for people to go down and see it but not on it.. probably 20 yards away from it

Unfortinatley, there is no way to take out the Titanic in one whole piece.

There are organisms found on the bottom of the ocean who live off the metal. The steel structure is nearly failing and the Titanic would soon collapse into itself leaving only a rust mark. Its too fragile, theres nothing we can do apart from making a replica

That's why I'm divided on recovery of artifacts from the wreck, yes it's graverobbing but we've already lost the last survivor and soon the wreck will decay away to nothing, then all that will be left are black and white photos we'll forget that it was a tragedy in color, the artificats recovered willl one day be all that is left to remind us that this wasn't a tragedy in black and white.

@Midnightryder7 it's almost been 100 years since the ship sank. it's pretty much been eaten by whatever's under water. they're actually predicting she'll collapse on her own in about 25 - 50 years. 100 years later, there's no way anyone could save the ship without it collapsing on its way up.

when i was young i too was a titanic historian and fan....me and my father measured the ship with 100 foot long tape from my house all the way down our street and we painted a big white "T" there for years no one knew wut it represented and just like the ship the "T" is slowing fading away...but the ship, the tale, the memories, and everything about this amazing story have never left me...or so many other amazing people...who luv Titanic

I live 2 miles from the NOAA Thunder Bay marine sanctuary where Dr. Robert Ballard visits. I have met him and heard his lectures. He has so much knowledge and a life of experience, although he loves Titanic it is like going up to a actor and asking only about their first movie. He has made other really great dives of other ships and hearing about them is very cool. We have so many great shipwrecks in the Great Lakes. He is a great and friendly guy.
