Ok .. the dog is obviously trying to tell the owner something very important. You have to figure out what it is. My dog has never been hit, *ever* ... yet he still cowers when someone raises their hand - even if it's just to play. I had him since he was 6 months old and I wonder if something happened to him prior to that. It's bizarre. Regardless, this breed here is very intelligent. Find out what he/she's trying to say ... ans seriously, it's not "I love the bathtub".

My GS mix will get in the tub when I gather the towels and say the word "bath".

But something else she does is climb into the bathtub when she hears thunder. (She's terrified of storms, having been home alone on the two occasions the house was hit by lightening.) We didn't train her to do this, but we aren't discouraging her either. Since she hears it long before we do, she makes a great storm warning.

This dog is afraid. Don't know of what, but this pup's body language says, I'm scared! Please work with vet/ trainer to see what the cause is.We have a 120-lb Rottie who is scared of multiple things (for no reason). and we are working on the same. Your pup's body language clearly communicates that he is afraid of something.

Hmmmm.... my guess is he has an obsession with the water gadgetry.... As a dog behaviorist and trainer, well, he just has that look in his eyes about the reason he's really in there.
