That is awesome!!!!! Beautiful cub!!!!! I love giant scale radio controlled airplanes!!!! It would be cool to see a video from inside the cockpit looking out at the ground while she's flying!!!! Great job!!!!!
Very nice, but how long before you give in to the temptation of putting something living in it? I just can't help imagining a flying cat, a dog, a small ki* :-)
What a beautiful aircraft, it must have took hours and hours to build it. You should be rightfully proud to fly this. I would love to be able to build something like this.
clipped wing, ok but took lots of talent to bring it in (although smaller airplanes are lots harder to fly) youall are just goooood in the piloting venue
hmmm... if your gonna go for that size R/C plane why not just get a full sized plane and then you can go up with your plane in the sky instead of your plane leaving you on the ground to fly it from there... just curious
28 hp? I have so many questions that would be such a pain to answer so I will limit it to just two for now. I see the exhaust coming out the bottom of the plane and so my first question is; is this modeling engine or one modified for this purpose and the second is; What is the flying weight of the whole thing?
I don't give a damn what all these experts on youtube say: the prop looks scale for the size, the full scale cub's prop was only 68" or so....the airplane looks scale, and flies it. Very nice job. I never met a cub i didn't like.
great plane ,but it looks to me that is a liltle heavy or under power with a litle prop as well ,correct me if im grong, but nice scale one,,,,what is grong with discovery channel that they havent make a show or series about the rc world?
Great job on the build and a nice flier-Co dos to the builder and pilot ! I though it sounded like the power and rpm are there but it seems to be screaming for more pitch or another notch up in the diameter. The exhaust could be tuned some to loose the higher pitch and bring a more scale sound to this deserving creation- that combined with more prop would make it a perfect 10!

That is just sweet. It would be horrible to crash it... These rc models are at a big advantage to a real cub because they are much lighter for obvious reasons. The owner was able to actually sit in the cabin? I figured it wouldn't be strong enough to hold a person's weight.
Bravo on the cub! Giant scale is always super to watch. Sure would be neat to fly long distance. They need a real show on the discovery channel for that.

MusicMasterJames 1 year ago
@MusicMasterJames The pilot/builder never uses the runway. He prefers the grass........ PASS!

@MusicMasterJames What a moronic thing to say.

@MusicMasterJames bushplanes try not to use the runway beacuse it wears out there tires witch are allot softer than tires on normal planes.

@MusicMasterJames Good pilots dont need runways.

As another said, pilot likes grass, sometimes its best to be a lurker when you haven't a clue...
Great flight, and seems to be very forgiving, not that pilot needed it this flight.
just curious, what was the build time for this Cub? looks very good!

I will never understand why people build 2/3, 1/2... rc planes when with the samen (or less) money they can build to fly on first person...
