Well, there is perhaps one good thing out of all this. Being that it's not just Namco but allot of Japanese game makers who are too hard headed to make good video games like they use to, that means game maker's here in the US are thriving on everything the Japanese game industry is squandering. Perhaps that means more American jobs here in this struggling economy.

I am genuinely offended that Namco charged me over $80 for such a shallow video game. At this point I have no intention of ever giving that company another penny of my $, even for a good game. If something good comes out I'll buy it used just to make sure Namco doesn't see a penny of it. I've seen bad games before, but this is the first time combining poor game making with overpricing downright offended me. Fortunately, the initial response says Namco is getting a black eye for this one.

I spammed two moves with Nightmare and like 3 with Amy, I'm already done. When I'm on floor 60 (vs Algol), I literally do like 4 moves with Amy and he's toast. The AI in SC4 is terribad, the modes in SC4 are terribad, and most of the characters...well, I just don't like most of the characters. If I could, I would port Amy over to SC2 and just call it a day because that game has Link, SC2 Nightmare, the GOOD Mitsurugi, and more modes! :/ sorry for the rant lol

But probably not, unless you could tell me how far apart the SC III and SC IV timelines were. The Alexandra Twins were 2 and 3 (respectively again) in SC IV. So i doubt they were were the kids...

So glad they kept Mitsurugi. I really hope this isn't like Soul Calibur 4. I liked the character customization but the overall game just sucked. There's almost no depth in the storyline whatsoever in 4. If they bring back the campaign mode from SC3 and the customization mode from SC4, they'll have made a perfect title.

I swear, if this game isn't like SC3 and SC2, I'll rage. If this game has a Character Creation mode, they best have a mode like Chronicles of the Sword but LONGER to accompany the CC mode. And bring back Survival, Arcade, Time Attack, Team Battle, and make Gold have an actual function! It definitely had one in SC2 and SC3! Namco, don't make this anything like SC4! Do NOT focus on ONLINE play, think about us offline gamers!

No I still want massive focus on OFFLINE play. Not everyone has a good connection like you said, and not everyone has money to pay for xbox live (I utmost refuse to, saving for a Wii and/or PS3 atm.). And besides, offline play is always better than online if it's good material. In SC4, neither modes were enjoyable IMO because the AI was bad, and the lag online even with 5 bars was deterrent to regular play. So I hope they have better offline play like CotS or Weapon Master.

@LinkxRedfield yeah the only razon i Play SCII it´s for make a best record in Survivor mode o a best time in time attack that´s called Replay value and we need that in the next SC game that´s true the online mode sometiemes sucks even with 5 bars there is lag this giveme headashes and broken controls for hate the cause I lose D:,so am just hoping the same than you i will speak with Daishi about this he can make something cuz he have the last word in the game.

SC3 was hella better than 4, and that's a fact. 3 undoubtedly has more content than 4 and that's a definite fact. 3 had glitches, or so I heard. I haven't encountered a single glitch at all. Granted if they do, that's still loads more content than 4 has. 3 has overpowered characters yeah, but who cares? Work around that! That's like saying Brawl is worse than Melee because it isn't as fast or whatever. Total stupidity!

Yeah I know what you mean, 2 was just AWESOME and got mostly everything right, then 3 and 4 came along with problems and new characters (who sucked, IMO) and other stuff. But, most people I know only like Soul Calibur 2 over the others because SC2 GameCube has Link in it. Don't get me wrong, that's justifiable, but Link isn't enough to make the game amazing. ALthough, I consider Nightmare to be Link anyway, because they have the same VA and stuff xD

I don't want to see competitive. I want to see good game. Online play, at least to me, isn't as important as offline play. Why? Because anyone who has online play also has offline, but it isn't always the same way for offline players. Game developers these days just stopped carrying about us. I don't mind the online portion being great, but the offline portion needs to mirror that greatness as well.
