Don was amazing and still is wherever he may be. Even in his very ill health in this video, his poetic prowess still remains. His abstract humor is timeless.
@lordevilvenom I'm pretty sure he's still alive, the reason I say this is because of his paintings. They would be selling all over the place after his passing.
It's not sad; it's beautiful. Everybody dies. Few have the gift of dying gracefully and without holding on to lies and vanity as he did. Death is life. He knew this.
I'm a bit of a Yo Yo myself.

The only place you can get ribs this time of nite in L.A. is the bible Roland.
Something only the Captain could think of.
Such a gentle and fragile person, almost ashamed to be human. Thank God for people like Mr. Van Vliet.

it seems like he may have possibly suffered a stroke.

@Ziplock74
I think his speech problem was the result of the multiple sclerosis...which I didn't know he had until today.
kboy20 9 months ago
@kboy20 Yes, that would explain his speech. but notice how he only uses one hand.

Don van Vliet ( real name : Don ( second name: Glen) Vliet, the '' van " is added later) was ill .
Some say he has died but that is never confirmed by anyone.
The rumors about Don appearing over at Safeway in 2007 is completely unsubstantiated.

I just hope Jan would let us all know if Don passed on.
