This is not the follow up to the Steven Spielberg War of the Worlds. There were 3 movies based on the original novel War of the Worlds released on june 1st (I think), but the Steven Spielberg one had the biggest budged, and the only one that got a theatrical release. Now, the War of the Worlds 2: The next wave is NOT a follow up to the Steven Spielberg movie. It's a follow up to a different movie, with different characters, alien machines, story, etc.

For a low-budged film, it's not that bad !
