I grew up in Lawrence, KS and can tell ya that this has been going on for the last 25 years. The developers have taken over Lawrence and will probably get their way eventually. It's a shame!

Here in Maine I know people that may loose their homes that they have spent thier whole lives in because enviro"mental"ist's don't want a new highway to go thru wetlands. Thier homes are on gorgeous land that that thay have carefully maintained for three generations. Maybe once we are done destroying good land because we don't want to ruin wetlands we will have to live on the moon.

I work in the private sector and probably make as much as the Director of the EPA. So get real and don't jump to conclusions. Just moved from KS a few months ago and know that area well.
