Well the biggest problem with this survival class is that it is based on human made things. Seems pointless. Usually when people are in need of survival techniques they are in a place far away from cities/ villages and they only have things they brought with them.

@Ciapek666 I'm not fond of the sixsixsix at the end of you title but that's not my point here, alot of people that end up in "survival situations" do in fact have something that they brought; i.e. man made material from a vehicle or what have you, that can achieve some tasks. However, what if you go hiking? You dont carry a ton of crap with you on an expected 2-3hr stroll. So in that case, alot of what has been taught here has no merit and primitive skill would best suit those needs.

I carry the absolute minimum with me on each trek, camping trip, or even in my everyday life, so that I am able to constantly challenge myself and over time I have found that I carry less and less, even though I do carry my EDC with me at all times and I do have BOB ready and waiting within walking distance, again, at all times. I merely keep them with me as a constant security without actually having to use them. The best way to learn is always the primitive way.

@Caveman0713 I like the minimalist idea too. I am carrying less and less when I go hiking. I used to carry fuel but not anymore. For foods I just bring bread, and for emergency fuel, I will use twigs and branches.
